Ordering cologne from Amazon is usually a bit of a gamble unless you've already experienced the scent some other way. But I've done business with Auelife before. They're highly responsive and great to work with, so I took the leap on Navy Meridian. The packaging hit first: nicely masculine, dark, clean, simple. I sprayed a bit on my wrist, let it settle, and brought it over to my lady for a verdict. "It smells very clean. I really like it," she said without much thought. "How does it make me smell?" I asked. "You smell like a man," she answered with a smile. Coming from her, this is high praise. As for what it actually smells like: it opens fresh and serene, with a hint of spice that gives it some quiet character underneath. The aroma is innovative right out of the box without being arrogant or forceful. There's something compellingly mysterious about the dry-down. It presents a hint of excitement that lets you do the rest. It doesn't shout. It suggests. Longevity is solid, as it lasts many hours with just a couple of sprays. The projection stays close enough to feel personal rather than announce itself across the room. Works equally well for the office, a date night, or a casual weekend out. This one definitely nudges my confidence up a notch. It's got a primal elegance to it while making a clear statement that I value my appearance and my scent. I hope you enjoy this fragrance as much as I do. It's now officially my go-to cologne! This has become a somewhat go to. The scent is citrus forward for sure with a bit of a lemon note. Doesn't smell artificial or sweet which is good for my preference. There's enough depth to it that it doesn't come across as a cheap body spray, and the fragrance sits somewhere between casual and polished without leaning too far in either direction. The longevity is decent for something alcohol free. It sticks around for a few hours before fading, which is about what you'd expect from this type of formulation. It won't last all day like heavier colognes, but for something you can refresh throughout the day without it feeling heavy, it works well. The bottle design is simple and not eggregious in any way like some are. It would fit easily in a bag without taking up much space. The sprayer has a nice, fine mist, not the nicest Ive used but good none the less. The size feels appropriate for the price and should last a reasonable amount of time with regular use. For daily wear or warmer weather, this is a solid option. It's light enough that it won't be overwhelming in close quarters but present enough that it's noticeable. The citrus profile makes it versatile across different settings without feeling out of place.

I got this for my fiance as a small token. We have never tried a generic brand before, however decided to give it a try. The scent is mild, not overpowering, he typicall uses it for his 8 hour shift and when he gets back home I can still smell the fragrance on him, however the scent is not as strong as before. So far there has been no irritation of the skin. Well it's not bad for the price I paid.

Rating the fragrance of a cologne is difficult, as personal likes and dislikes will differ from person to person. I tried the Marine Scent, and the best way to rate it is the comments received from my spouse, daughters, and even my granddaughters after a welcoming hug…….ZERO! I did not get the positive comment, “umm, you smell good, what are you wearing?” Nothing bad, but nothing good either. My take when I applied it, it was similar to a fragranced deodorant….with very little fragrance resembling a nice men’s cologne. Long lasting?…..I think not. For me, within an hour, the faint smell was gone. It comes in an attractive bottle, for this I give two stars, but the scent resembles something bought at a discount store. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this men’s cologne at any price.

I bought this cologne as a gift for a male friend, and he really liked it. The fresh lemon citrus scent stood out the most—it’s clean, light, and very refreshing without being overpowering. I really like this cologne. It smells pretty good. The scent is hard to describe, but there is a hint of something that reminds me of roses when you first apply it, but that particular element of the scent fades as it dries, and you're left with a nice clean manly scent that lasts for hours. The best I can describe the scent is to say it smells quite a bit like pine combined with new leather and hints of spice with very light floral notes. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the floral notes are more pronounced when you first apply it, and I wish they were a bit milder, but as soon as it dries on that goes away. I also think it's a pretty good deal for the current price, and you get enough cologne to last for months of daily use. 2 sprays in the morning is enough to last me all day. As always if I encounter any other issues or think of anything else to add I'll update this review!
