Own a JL Audio Subwoofer and it was giving me feedback due to the cable that was supplied by my installer. Was an avid Monster Cable fan, but their product line is not the same. Asked around and Audioquest will be my brand of choice going forward.

bought an amazon 15' basics cable; it added a hum to my subwoofer. this is a high quality cord and eliminated the hum but is a little pricey. also own the high end "boxer" cable audioquest makes; they make great stuff.

Even after reading the reviews I was still skeptical this wouldn't completely eliminate ground noise. Happy to report I was wrong!

Purchased this over cheaper ones in because some other people said it cleared their hissing problems. I don't know whether my sub would have hissed with a cheaper cable, but no problems with this and it's not priced significantly higher. I haven't needed to use the extra grounding spades attached to the ends. The wire itself is flexible, which is always good. ... show more

However. Unfortunately I have no improvements in sounds quality to report after replacing my 25 foot metabridge cable with this one. Not sure who gets a better look now. The 25 foot cable I paid $20 for or the 6 ft cable I pay $40 for that has no substantial improvement over the cheap brand. Interesting. ... show more
