Audio-Technica always the top choices to me. My 1st Audio-Technica is for listening the music, and this is my 2nd Audio-Technica headset for wfh. I feel this gaming headset sound quality are pretty close to my 1st Audio-Technica headset. Excellent for music. I have had this thing for a good time gaming every day with it. After some time the microphone when you move it side to side it will sometimes pick up in the headphones a scratchy noise. Then when you move the microphone again it goes away. It comes and goes. My best bet to fixing this issue is to buy a new microphone that works with this headset. I dont feel like figuring out the micro phone so I went back to my older headset. The sound is still good on this unit.

I have a Klipsch audio system I connected the head phones to and downloaded a sound equalizer for Windows. These are perfect for my setup. I love that they use basic audio jacks for everything.

There's a lot to love about these, but like others have reported, the right side drops out and the only solution is to ship them in for repairs. I even bought a hardshell case to carry them in so they wouldn't be subjected to abuse in my backpack, but the issue happened AGAIN. The first time around was only a couple of months after I bought them. The repair itself was in warranty, but not shipping costs. Now that it has happened again out of warranty, there's no way I'm paying to ship them in and get repaired. This is an unfortunate design flaw because the headset is otherwise fantastic. The mic is high quality (a primary reason I paid so much for Audio-Technica over other brands) and the fact that it can be detached when not in use is a great feature. Sound quality is great until the issue occurs, at which point overall volume drops and the right channel disappears almost completely.

The manufacturing quality is average. Simple controls. Very comfortable. No side sound from microphone input. The lack of side tone from your own voice can be off-putting. These would be really nice head phones and get 5 stars if I only paid $50.00

PROS - Sound quality is good, balanced, and clear at all frequency levels - Stero separation is high - Mic is removable - Cable has good length and flexibility - Comfortable over my protruding ears CONS - Mic lacks low end pickup if you have a deep voice

Maybe I am spoiled with my campfire audio in ear monitors and B&O over ear. But these things are not even a thing to me. So flat. Tin can sounding. I’ll give it three stars for the mic. Outside of that. These blemish audio technica as a brand. Edit: After additional time with this headset… I still rate them incredibly low. Sound quality is absolutely horrendous. I stand by my statement that these destroy the AT reputation. I actually just threw them away. Wasteful as it may be. I’ll stick to in ear monitors for gaming.
