    • The right tripod/selfie stick for phones

This is the second tripod my wife and I bought. After she saw how well mine worked, she wanted one for herself. Our phones are Samsung S22 Ultras which are pretty big and pretty heavy but take great pictures. The phone clamp on the top of the stick is plenty strong enough to keep the camera secure. With the remote, you can take pictures from overhead to see over a crowd or just for the angle and also pictures from absolute ground level to get a different perspective. As a tripod, it works well except in the wind when you may have to extend it only half way and maybe weight it with something to prevent swaying. For a travel tripod, it's an easy choice, but I have one suggestion. That would be to add something to secure the remote to the tripod. It is too easy to detach. I have taken to using a separate bluetooth remote with a wrist strap so I won't lose it. ... show more

The Alumtek vendor went above and beyond to ensure the remote was replaced. The original stick and remote worked perfectly. I have tried many battery powered remotes and the chargeable type(like the Atumtek) is superior. It is more responsive to inputs and does not wear down the phone battery as fast. I use my selfie stick and remote to get hard to reach photos of flowers high in the forest canopy. I use both the stick and remote a lot. The previous stick I used (not Atumtek) broke. It was too flimsy. The Atumtek stick is very strong and the remote works perfectly. I only needed a replacement because I lost my remote.
