Bought this to store in my Waverunner just in case I break down. Fortunately, I haven’t needed to use it yet. But, was able to check it out. Telescoping mechanism works well, it’s lightweight and seems sturdy. Here’s hoping I never need it!!!

Seems fairly well constructed. Telescoping poles lock up tightly and it fits perfectly in my boat. This is definitely an emergency oar, I'm not sure how it would hold up to daily use.
