  • Broke after two uses
Used the anchor on a ten foot kayak (can’t think of the name off the top of my head) but I’ve took the anchor out once prior to the trip that I lost it on the bolt to hold the anchor on the little hook thing came out while I was pulling it up from the bottom of the lake but I used it on a ten plus mile an hour wind(maby that had something to do with it) but it held me in place fine while it lasted even held a buddy of mine tied to my boat in that wind held us in place over all good anchor wish I coulda used it longer ... show more

  • Just Re-Tie the Knot
Dear people complaining that this anchor falls off in the water...if you can’t look at the item straight out of the package and tell that the knot needs to be retied before you trust it with your weight in running water...you might ought to think twice about operating a watercraft. I undid the simple knot, replaced it with a good anchor knot, and used this anchor for my kayak in the Black River in swiftly moving deep water and in mud and was very pleased with the performance. It’s easy to fold up and put away, and held securely under different conditions. For the price I’m very pleased. Similar anchors are sold at places like Dicks for twice this price and look almost exactly the same. Just fix the knot before you try to use it and you should be fine. ... show more

  • Love this item
I think this is great quality for the price. Very durable. Perfect size and weight for my inflatable pontoon. Great rope nice and long. Much better than the other brand I bought and broke the first day

  • Great for a paddle board
I use this for my paddle board and it works great. I can easily secure it and my paddle board almost anywhere on the lake. Keeps it in place for sunbathing or even fishing.

  • Decent For The Price
Based on the reviews of others, the first thing I did was use some stainless steel wire to secure the screw to prevent the anchor from becoming detached from the shackle. A small zip tie or twist tie could also be used. I also tied the end of the rope to a carabiner to easily attach it to a boat. I took one star off since I had to secure the screw to make it more reliable and since the retaining ring around the shaft of the anchor can quite easily slip out of position. This last point isn't a real big deal though. ... show more

  • Anchor
Use in kayak works and easy to store and use

  • Don't lose it
Yeah, as the headline states, be careful not to lose it. Before use, I was sure to tighten the center bolt that holds the metal ring to the shaft of the anchor. I had deployed my anchor 5 times at the most when I realized i was drifting. So as I pulled my anchor rope up, I realized there was no resistance upon the rope. Yep, the anchor was sitting in the bottom of the Indian River of Central Florida. After much wading and searching, I found it. But the bolt that holds the rope fastener to the anchor should not be so easily dislodged. The threads, which I tightened before use, should not work themselves out so freely. So, overall, it's a good deal, but replace that bolt with a pin or another threaded bolt you can put a lock nut on. ... show more

  • Its ok and does the job
The item is well made and heavy. The rope is not long enough for the ocean as its too short. but you can extend it . cannot complain about the product and its well made.
