I'm a 74 year old woman, former 5k & marathon runner. I don't run anymore due to a knee issue - but who knows - that may change if I can tape it up so I can at least jog again. Life happens. So I haven't run for a long time. I used to eat energy bars (like PR nutrition and so on) to supplement my food intake. So I know what bars I like. So I started researching what bar, if any, would work for me. After a lot of looking, I came across these. Really impressed with the ingredients. I have tried three types and I like them all. Like some have mentioned, the taste may take a little getting used to - but after a few bites, it gets better and better. These bars are really well thought out and I'm so glad to be able to get them. The ashwagandha kind of threw me at first - but after researching it, I am glad it is added to the bar. I have a little bit of weight to lose - and if all goes well, I'll be running again in 3 to 4 months. (Walking first to get in shape, then slow running.) I am re-reading the book "Running Forward - Looking Back" for added inspiration - great reading by the way. Full of short stories that put a smile on your face. ** UPDATE** after YEARS of insomnia, (I wake up a few times every night between 1:30am to 3am and I can NOT get back to sleep again) Suddenly - after only 2 days of eating these bars, I can get back to sleep. Instead of being awake for so many hours, I stay asleep until 6:30am. Bottom line - instead of 4 to 5 hours of sleep every night for years, I'm now getting 7 to 8 hours!!!!!! As a family we eat a lot of protein bars. They are great for on the road, an easy snack, or even a meal if we aren't that hungry. I loved the packaging that they came in. I ordered the 10 pack of variety and I'm so glad that I did. My first bar that I picked to eat was the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip one and it did not disappoint. I understand what others were saying about the texture of the bar. It's not a so-called normal texture but after the first bite I was use to the taste. The texture is like a harder chewy like bar but once you get that bite inside your mouth it breaks down quickly and becomes yummier as the bar starts to disappear. I'm excited to try the other flavors because I'm very hopeful that the others taste just as good if not better. These bars are the perfect size for your bag, purse, car, kids backpack, etc. I'm super impressed by these bars and will be buying again. YUM ... show more

I love the fact that these bars have ashwaganda and clean ingredients and that they are keto friendly with no added sugar. The flavor is great (I got peanut butter chocolate chip) and I didn’t notice a bitter taste like others had mentioned.. the texture is where I trip up a bit, it’s not chewy like RX bars which stick to my teeth and are quite annoying to eat, it’s more of a stiff pressed bar, almost like it was supposed to be soft and dried up or supposed to be hard and softened up, that being said it’s the only “downfall” and still one of the better bars I have had! I took a bite and left it on the counter then kept coming back for another bite and another bite until the bar was gone. The texture won’t stop me from purchasing another pack and it has honestly grown on me. The price is steep at 2.50 a bar but compares to some of the store brands with a lot junkier ingredients. ... show more

Can't have processed/simple sugars, but needed an energy/nutrition bar for ultra-marathon running distances. These look like they will fit the bill. Good stuff in them and taste pretty good. Will you be disappointed if you are used to overly-sweet "nutrition" bars - absolutely, but your taste buds are likely used to everything being overly-sweetened. Haven't had them all, but the couple so far seem good. Not overly expensive compared to some other bars that are well over $3/bar. ... show more

I like the vanilla almond flavor the best. They're soft and chewy. You get a good variety of flavors. They taste like your typical protein bar but they're better because of all the natural ingredients and low sugar.

So far I've only tasted a couple of them but so far so good. I've surprisingly enjoyed the taste, it's not too chewy or grainy like I was expecting. I like that there's low sugar and 15g of protein in each bar so there's no sugar crush. Excited to try the other flavors.

I’ve only tried the dark chocolate sea salt bar so far and the taste was not that good to me but the ingredients were. The texture was kind of strange. Like a smooth, soft rubber lol. I’m sure the almond and peanut butter ones will be okay taste wise.

I really like the texture in these, it's nice and smooth and doesn't taste chalky or bulky. They are a great sweet treat substitute and have excellent quality ingredients. 10 out of 10 recommend!
