I’ve had a subscription delivery for Atlas almond chai protein bars for a couple of years. They have changed something where the bars are so incredibly oily in the package now, I get oil all over my hands and it oozed out onto my belongings. The oil is not blending with the bar. The flavor is good - it’s a decent texture and one of the best out there for the P/C/F ratio. It doesn’t have the overwhelming sugar substitute aftertaste like many have. There is something hard and crunchy in the bar that almost feels like plastic (not the almonds) and the oil thing really needs to be fixed. The old bar recipe was better!

First off, the original box we received from Amazon is nothing like the one sent directly from the manufacturer. I posted a review saying how hard and slimy the bars were and impossible to chew. They offered to send me a new box and wow! These are dense but not rock hard and honestly they breakdown fairly easily when chewed. This is a simple bar which ingredients I really do love and that’s what prompted me to try them again. It’s not as sweet or “satisfying” like a dessert bar as others can be, (so the 1 star leas) but if you’re more concerned about the quality of your protein and having minimal junk in it, this is an absolute must try. Thank you to the customer service team for making good on your word. I just wish Amazon would take better care of the products cuz what we originally received is nothing like the box received from Atlas.

I do like the branding and packaging of the product. Someone mentioned it's an acquired taste, I think it's fine, with those ingredients I expected it to taste like that, the health benefits and protein intake were my top priority. I will say they are very oily and feel 'messy' to eat, so that makes me hesitant about being able to take them with me if I leave home, so I bumped it a star because I see that as an unnecessary restriction when it comes to protein bars. UPDATE: I decided to order the pack that only has the peanut butter chocolate chip flavor (one of the best ones in my opinion) to see how different it is from the variety pack. It seems like regardless of circumstances, the bars will still have that oily feel. Although ultimately if that's the downside to using something with 'clean ingredients' I'll take it. UPDATE 2: I tried the space/galaxy-themed ones and they're by far the best flavor (almost like a blueberry). I was also under the impression that they weren't as oily as the variety pack.

These bars have all the ingredients I look for when buying protein bars, so I was very excited to try them. I first tried the Space flavor & was not really a fan. I let my hubby try it & he loved the fruity flavor. Some of the bars had an oily feel/layer on them, that was odd to me, maybe it was from being shipped in the heat?! I really liked the almond coconut flavor - by far it was my favorite!! Overall, they were very tasty and kept me full. I was happy with this purchase!

I was able to get a pack with one of every flavor both whey/milk protein and plant protein based and I was very satisfied. I was nervous reading some reviews at first and I know they formula changed a lot. I hadn't had the old one. Getting 20g of protein at around 200 calories and a taste/texture I like is my main priority and these fit the bill. There was no flavor I disliked (except mint chocolate. I just hate mint so gave it away), but my favorites were actually the plant-based ones. Finding a plant-based bar that tastes this good with these macros isn't as common as I'd like. I even thought the plant-based peanut butter chocolate was way better than the regular one. The chocolate pieces were somehow melty at room temp. I loved that. The texture of these are kind of sandy/granola bar-like. Theyre sort of chunky and mealy? This probably sounds off-putting, but I actually like this. It feels wholesome I guess like a less brittle Nature Valley granola bar. And as someone else said, they're oily on the outside. This is not a problem at all for me though. I'm just eating it out of the wrapper. My very favorites were the plant-based peanut butter and chocolate and chocolate sea salt, and then the milk/whey based peanut butter raspberry and vanilla almond. The space flavored bar tasted like a mixed berry kind of thing to me. Again, I liked them all.

The packaging of these bars is great. I appreciated that there was not a ton of extra space and the box was the right size for the contents, so the bars didn't get damaged during shipping. The ingredients and flavor of these protein bars were among some of the best I have had! The ingredients are clean. The texture of the bars is really good. It's not like the gooey, chewy bars you sometimes get. Instead, it has some texture to it. I really enjoyed that. The flavor is also good. It doesn't taste like chemicals or have that chalky flavor that is often seen with protein bars. The bars are also a really good size for the macros. I can eat the bars on the go, as a snack, and feel like I have consumed something substantial enough to hold me over for a couple of hours. Overall, I think this product is a good value, very good flavor, and something that could easily fit into my nutrition goals on a daily basis. The macros are great, and I look forward to enjoying them!
