This is a nice, inexpensive solution to storing your media. It is not made of solid wood, and of course the directions suck, but take your time, use common sense, and it should go together fine. I like quality furniture too, but I'm poor so I buy the cheap stuff that looks better than milk crates. The color is very dark, so as to look almost black, the handles are a brushed nickel and even though the design is simple it does look good. I wanted a cabinet with glass fronts because I have furry pets and I get tired of moving hundreds of DVDs to dust. This solution was great because now the dust and dirt stays out and I just vacuum and swipe the outside with a damp cloth and its clean. The issue with the items in the center being inaccessible is minor. It is not that hard to move one or two movies so that I can slide the inaccessible one out. The chances are like 16 in 250 that you will need to do this because only three to four things are covered up by the doors in the center of each shelf. I have had this unit in my living room for about six months and I am still very happy with what I received. I could not have purchased a unit of this quality in any of the stores around me, and certainly not for such a good price. ... show more

The cabinet works perfectly for what I bought it for. Storing Blu-Rays and CDs. It can also be a cabinet to store your video games. The cabinet looks nice, has plenty of storage, and the doors slide with ease. Perhaps they slide too well since they sometimes tend to slide a little back open when you close them. The instructions were simple but weren't thorough enough for some of the assembly. There are screws that won't hook properly to other pieces if you screw them in too far. I only assumed that you would screw it in until it was tight. Once I figured it out and loosened them up to where they would lock on to the other pieces, the rest of the process was easy. But it did take a lot more time to assemble because of that. Also, take your time to make sure the pieces are facing the exact way as illustrated on the instructions. The pieces were labeled well, and it did come with a screwdriver that worked on all the screws, so I didn't have to even reach for my toolbox. The cabinet overall is sturdy; however, if you intend to put items that are heavier such as books, chances are those shelves will probably bow over time as mentioned in some of the other reviews. So, keep that in mind. Overall, this cabinet works perfect for me, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to store their movies, music, or video game collection. ... show more

I was a little hesitant at first to order the cabinet. I loved the way it looked, but there were so many negative reviews. I am so glad I decided to order it after all. It took my husband and I maybe 45 minutes to put it together, and everything fit together perfectly. It was not as "rickety" as everyone made it sound. Yes it needs the back to stabilize completely, but most shelving units do. It looked just a good as I had hoped. Nice color, no nicks, and the doors open and close smooth as a dream. I was so surprised at just how shallow the depth of the cabinet was. It was a pleasant surprise though as it saves on so much space and gives it a more sleek look in my opinion. I wondered if all of our DVDs would fit since it was so much skinnier than I thought it would be, but everything fit perfectly. We were able to even add some more games and CDs we had not planned to put in the cabinet. It shipped and arrived perfectly on time. I would only caution that due to the size it required permission to be left at the door, so be prepared for that if you are not going to be there when it comes. Not a huge deal at all though.
