5.0 out of 5 stars | Nice media cabinet - and guidance to make the doors work !!!
Style: Espresso
The Atlantic Windowpane Media Cabinet is well made, attractive, sturdy, features nice hardware, smooth sliding doors with tempered glass panes. This cabinet is functional, has plenty of storage space and looks great in my living room. Don't get fooled by the negative reviews that claim the doors don't fit. These folks have not discovered the little screw on the wheel assemblies that allows the adjustment of the height of the wheels relative to the door. You can adjust the wheel position easily by about 1/2 inch which makes everything fit together. The wheels are shipped in the fully retracted position - yes, in that mode the top guides on the doors do not meet the top rails. Once you adjust the wheels everything fits together. Well worth the money. I would definitely buy it again.

2.0 out of 5 stars | Not impressed..
Style: Espresso
After waiting a full two weeks for this to arrive and having to order a replacement, I was excited to put this thing together and organize my DVDs. But I was quickly disappointed.. The box arrived with minor wear on the corners but the contents weren't damaged. Except for one little area on one of the shelves. That must have been done at the manufacturer because that particular shelf was nowhere near the outside of the box. Everything was actually very well packaged. The assembly was pretty easy, nothing too complicated at all. But then I got to the hanging of the doors..what a mess. The stoppers at the top of the doors are supposed to pop right into the grooves on the track. Well, they were about 1 inch too short. I had to drill more holes and reposition the stoppers, which was a bit of a hassle. In the pics I've included, you can see the original placement of the pre-drilled holes was way off. In the second pic i have adjusted them much higher. Once I did that though, the doors fit fine, except the back one being a bit harder to slide along the track. All of this would have been okay with me, but for the price I paid for this item, I would expect not to have to make such drastic adjustments. I won't be ordering from this company again.

5.0 out of 5 stars | IMPRESSIVE FOR THE PRICE
Style: Espresso
Arrived with a crushed and banged up box but surprisingly nothing was damaged inside. Some assembly required, but easy to do with good instructions included. Color Expresso is practically black in color, was hoping for a real expresso color with more wood tone. My cabinet is already filled to capacity, thought I would have more room but guess I have too much already. Looks impressive for the 80 bucks I paid.

3.0 out of 5 stars | Meh quality, doors are gimmicky... I'd keep looking
Style: Driffield Textured
So I bought this to replace a smaller open-front CD/DVD rack I have had for years. I got the dark grey one that looks like it has wood grain. The top panel, the one that is most noticeable, came with an edge slightly peeled back. The wood finish is simulated, and pretty much looks like wallpaper. Its like they took some particle board and put wallpaper over it. The unit itself actually looks nice, and the edge that was peeled back on my unit isn't that bad, as I was able to glue it down so it looks mostly normal. There were small scratches on the top of my unit as well. They were small enough that I am going to overlook them for the sake of this review. The box did arrive in really good condition, so I am not certain where they came from. This shelf ships with a ton of shelves, as you might have noticed. This is ideal for say, someone that has a lot of CD's or Nintendo DS games, as you can have a ton of those rows. I had zero issues installing the doors, it was easy. They popped right in, and the little adjustable pop-up door guide functioned as expected. The issue I have with the doors is that they don't have any sort of snug closed position, and they don't exactly close tight. There are little rubber stoppers on each side of the unit, so you can move the door from one side to the other side without hitting the wood. This isn't a bad idea, but there is no mechanism to kind of keep the door closed at all. So there is always a little gap on each side of the unit, it's definitely more of an ornamental door, and doesn't serve much purpose as its easily opened and closed and while closed, is only mostly closed. One of the cam screws actually broke during my installation. No extra hardware was provided. Not a big deal though, I just put it together without one of the cam screws on the base. Considering it won't be moving, I don't think its that big of a deal. One extra screw, peg, and cam screw would have been nice to have in case someone ran into an issue like I did. Overall, I think for the price, it's an attractive unit. It does hold CD's and DVD's just fine. It does not feel as if it is very high quality, and I imagine if you moved this around a couple of times, or just have some energy filled kids, this thing will get dinged up pretty quick. Overall, 3/5. Great looks. Good functionality. Questionable quality.

3.0 out of 5 stars | Reviews Accurate -- Understand the Limitations, This Could Be Okay for You
Style: Espresso
Biggest drawback for me: you can't have all the shelves set to Blu-Ray height. You can have four DVD height shelves and two CD-height shelves. As others have remarked, there are just too few shelf position options. The reviews are generally accurate. The unit is surprisingly narrow; appropriate for discs but little else. I had the same assembly issue mentioned frequently -- the pilot holes for the doors were poorly placed. I had to drill new holes about 1/4" higher for the top posts otherwise the doors wouldn't stay in the tracks. Now that the posts are solidly in the tracks I don't find the unit rickety like others report. It's heavy and seems pretty solid. As it gets more full I'm probably going to hate the lack of access to the very middle of the shelves. Maybe I'll use bookends or something to avoid putting discs there.

1.0 out of 5 stars | Item arrived damaged.
Style: Espresso
I am disappointed that my media cabinet arrived damaged. Although it was obviously the box had been roughly handled, it was also very poorly packed and there was very little protection for the product inside. What flimsy little bit of foam there was, has literally disintegrated into dust. The corner of one of the doors was cracked pretty badly. This is a big, heavy item and I was hoping that they would just send me a replacement door. Unfortunately all of their return options, only allows for a complete return of the item, which is not physically feasible for me as I cannot handle the product on my own. I'd be happy to return just the door. Unfortunately I'm going to be stuck with a defective product.
