My first time ASUS product, purchased to use on a recent refurbished Optiplex with advanced graphics. Optiplex provided only VGA and dual Display Ports, so I opted for this VE248Q. Pros: Monitor offers VGA, HDMI and Display Port connections. Cables provided for VGA-VGA and DVI-HDMI (computer-to-monitor) Generous base for the big 24" screen, steady. Control buttons are on the underside, well marked and easy to access (unlike some brands!) Resolution established 1920x1080 at first startup, bright images, crystal clear, no flicker observed. Easy to view from the sides, non-glare matte surface. Internal speakers and a headphone jack. Windows driver cd. Con: Instructions are sparse: a single sheet poster-size newsprint "manual", printed in 32 languages however, You are given a button diagram and just a 2x3" text box with 6 numbered short "instructions" describing the 6 buttons. You are informed what each does without saying what menu or why. Monitor provides a typical OSD (on-screen-display) menu. Back-side of this poster shows you what cables get plugged where (but only in 28 languages, sorry) for those who are plug-wise challenged. Specifications claim the display is VESA wall-mountable, but find nothing in the instructions or backside of the display to indicate this. The ASUS website wasn't of much help either. But if this is not your first smart monitor, all will work itself out, just experiment a little. Bottom Line: recommended, appreciate the display size and quality, and optional connectivity. There are more features available than ASUS discloses. Good value.

Dropped one star due to produce description from manufacture is MISLEADING. ASUS VE248Q 24" Full HD 1920x1080 2ms Monitor for ~$120.00 is just AWESOME. However take note that this is NOT a LED monitor but a LCD monitor THAT IS BACK LIT with LEDs. So, you know that you are paying and getting an LCD monitor not an LED monitor. The "From the manufacture" section describes the ASUS VE248Q 24" monitor as "Classic and Elegant- The VE248Q Full HD LED monitor, with HDMI interface, is optimized for the finest image and color quality." HOWEVER please be aware that it is not an LED monitor but is a LCD monitor that is back lit with LEDs, see pics.

The VESA 100mm holes shown prominently on this product are not where they are shown. You have to take off the tape and remove the stand. Then when you try your VESA mount you will see that it does not fit. Then when you try to return it, you will notice that this is a third party, and therefore Amazon will not take your return. The third party will take your return, but it will cost you more to ship it back than you paid for the monitor. OK, I'm stuck. So I have to make this work. Get the angle grinder. I was going to adjust my VESA mount, but that was a perfectly good product. So I took some plastic off above where the non-fitting VESA holes are. After I cleaned it up some, it fits. Don't have an angle grinder? Maybe a dremel will do. Maybe even a razor blade will do. Suffice to say, don't buy this for a wall-mountable monitor, and even if you're not going to wall mount it, realize that this third party won't help you get a refund if you're not satisfied.

My job requires me to review very old documents on a computer screen for my shift. My eyes were getting very fatigued at the end of the day. So I purchased two of these, turned up the eye care setting, and my eyes feel so much better. I tried those blue light eye glasses, and those did not do as much for me as they seem to for others. But, these monitors, plus those glasses... my eyes are good to go after 10 hours staring at these screens. Not the greatest for gaming, but they work just fine for what I game with as I am not playing competitively or anything too serious. Would for sure recommend for home office use and causal gaming.

Excelente monitor para jugar y para trabajo, tiene varios modos de visualizacion lo que permite ajustar dependiendo de la labor que se esta realizando, su conexion VGA y HDMI permiten utilizar mas de periferico al mismo tiempo, y la calidad de visualizacion VGA es muy buena comparada con otros monitores que he utilizado. Una de las funciones que mas me ha gustado son los shorcuts que permiten agregar las funciones que mas se utilizan, para no tener que estar constantemente navegando por el menu de opciones. La entrega fue rapida, el embalaje perfecto, viene con sus cables HDMI, VGA y Corriente.

Pros: -Has blue light control and eyesore features that really do help with eye strain and headaches. I haven't had any issues looking at this screen, which is big based on my chronic migraines. -You can adjust EVERYTHING. Brightness, blue light filter, refresh rate, mode... -Relatively inexpensive -Works no problem with my MacBook Pro -Tilt feature is sturdy so it doesn't flop around Cons: -Picture quality isn't great. If you're up close, you can see pixels like no tomorrow. Granted, I'm spoiled by my MacBook's retina screen, but still. I expected better from "1080p HD" -No built in speakers -Stand is a bit bulky.
