  • It's not IPS and it's not 75hz
Style: 27" IPS 75Hz Frameless
I ordered the '27" Frameless IPS' version of this monitor. The description and pictures are very misleading. This is not an IPS monitor. It is VA. You cannot have both 1080 lines of resolution and 75hz at the same time. It's not even that "frameless" since the bezel is very sleek and thin but the viewable portion of the screen is smaller and once the screen is on you can see a thick black border around the entire screen. If you're buying this for work, you'll likely be happy, but it is not what is advertised. ... show more

  • Control Buttons On the Back???
Style: 27" IPS 75Hz Frameless
Purchased two of the VA27EHE monitors to sit side by side on the desktop. Narrow bezel is very nice, and no glare. Don't see any dead pixels, and overall very happy with these. The only thing I DO NOT LIKE is that the control buttons for the monitor (power, menu, etc.) are on the right lower REAR side of the monitor. When you set two directly side by side, you cant get to the buttons on the left monitor very easily (or even see the buttons unless you have them on a desk where you can walk behind them). For monitors designed to sit next to each other, like these, WHY WOULD THEY PUT THE BUTTONS ON THE BACK? It would be a much better design to have the buttons on the bottom (like typical LCD monitors that I have had over the years). Took away one star for this reason. I didn't even think to look to see where the buttons were located before I purchased these, so this review may be helpful for someone like me who wouldn't have thought about this. ... show more

  • Pretty good monitor
Style: 27" IPS 75Hz Frameless
Had a 24" monitor at home but used a 27" at work. My son was also really wanting my 24". After researching everything for about a month, I finally settled on this one. It has alsmost the exact same specs as my Asus 24, just bigger. So far I haven't been disappointed. Ive used it for gaming, design, and regular office work. Getting it set up out of the box was fairly easy. The buttons aren't that intuitive, so there was some fiddling before I got it right. The yellow cast that has been complained about is part of the eyecare setting: blue light puts a strain on the eyes and yellowish/reddish filter cuts the blue. If you can find it in the screen menu option on the monitor and turn it off, the color cast goes away. The screen presets aren't terrible (gaming is actually good for gaming, but is waaay too saturated for almost anything else). It can get really difficult to see dark visuals in a bright room, especially if the light source is behind the monitor. That's mostly an issue with my setup, but I don't have a better solution at this point and figure someone else might have the same issue. It's big enough that I kind of wish I'd paid the premium for a curved screen, but it's workable. There's a little bit of drop-off at the edges of the screen, but nothing too noticeable or distracting. No dead pixels and no other complaints. It does what I need. ... show more

  • I should’ve bought 2 of this. It’s more than what it costs
Style: 27" IPS 75Hz Frameless
I bought a 27” KA272 bi Acer monitor a few months ago from another vendor for $200. The website said it’s the new arrival, so I thought it’s going to be updated and better. I required another monitor and the hunt for a clearer, sharper and cheaper monitor began once again. I spent complete 4 days looking for all kinds of monitors, curved, gaming, 2K, 4K etc. my usage was only for work and coding. I didn’t need a high end monitor for that. I wanted to go with a super wife 34” curved monitor to replace 2 monitors by just 1. But didn’t have money and need to get a curved monitor. I wanted a frameless 27” IPS monitor with a decent refresh rated 60Hz or higher, 1920x1080 or higher resolution with at least 2 years of warranty as cheap monitors get a lot of complaints about dead pixels. Moreover, it should be able to match the dimensions of the Acer monitor I already have so that they don’t look uneven sitting together. It bugs me if the screens are uneven. I saw this one on Amazon and found it in the range of the cheapest 27” monitors available in the market right now. I wanted something which can give me an option of display port along with an hdmi port as my dock has only 1 hdmi port and I needed to connect 2 monitors with my work laptop. I checked Asus website for this model and found there is a newer model at the same price, VZ279HE, which had the display port along with the hdmi. But it was nowhere available. It was released in April,2017 while VA27EHE launched in Dec,2019. So, was not worth buying an older version just for a port. Another competitor was ViewSonic VX2756 which had the DisplayPort and great 3 Lyra warranty, but it lost on the total height by 1”. After searching for it on all the websites, I finally bought VA27EHE. It arrived the next day, as expected. Everything was as expected, the dimensions matched with the stand. Screen was well lit with 250cd/square mm, no dead pixels, Anti-glare, nice Matt finish. What I instantly observed was that it’s bezel was slimmer than Acer, it’s thinner and the stand feels stronger. Screen is beautiful edge to edge and no dead pixels or whatsoever. The specification doesn’t mention and I cannot find anywhere, but my audio driver says that the monitor does have speakers. Don’t know where. And it does tilt! And is VESA compatible. I went back on the website where I purchased my Acer for $199 from to see if I can return that and buy one more of this. I was past the return window, so of course I couldn’t, but that was one hell of a feature in $150 in a monitor. I love it and I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a 27” monitor at this price range. ... show more
