  • Amazing Monitor, but prob no the best IPS lightning.
Pattern: Monitor Style: 24” FHD 270Hz USB-C KVM
Pros: -Responsiveness and Smothness, feels better or the same as the fastest TNs on the market. -The OC (270hz) works flawlessly with no problems. -Colors are on point, I did have to tweak them for a better use at a lower brightness and my likeness for 1.8 gamma instead of 2.2. -HDR looks really good, although brightness is too much since the contrast ratio isn't very good. -I play a lot of games at 60fps (Fighting games) and the monitor still feels super responsive at 60hz. -It comes with all the cables needed: Type C, DisplayPort, HDMI, power. And they all feel of good quality. Cons: -Contrast ratio is somewhat bad, it has 1000:1 contrast ratio, but compared to VA's, you can really notice it. -The calibration was just a tiny bit more saturated than normal. ... show more

  • Everything I Expected
Looking at this compared to an older IPS is like seeing how far screens have come. + Bright, clear, rich colors + Fast. Lightning fast. Console and PC gamers will appreciate this. + Surprisingly improved picture quality even at lower framerates / resolution (ex Wii at 480p 60fps, or SNES Classic) with 0 input delay, feels as fast as CRT. + High resolution 1440p games look and feel incredible - Heavy - The blacks aren't perfect, but they are a lot better then TN Panels, and I've seen people really set their expectations way too high on this fact that Flat Panels with bright awesome colors are going to have imperfect blacks. The only way to get better than this is with an AMOLED display, but you are going to pay a huge price and lose the speed and performance you are buying this monster for, and you probably are looking at 2-5% improvement. (I'm writing this section because of the number of 1-3* reviews that hammer black light bleed or true black missing, it just doesn't technologically exist at the level of perfection). I did not get any dead pixels or other defects with this screen. I never have before with Asus. Gamers have waited a long time for true response times to match with amazing colors that IPS can deliver, and have resorted to lesser TN panels for richer blacks and faster performance. This screen truely delivers both of them. Pair this with a 1070 ti, or better. You won't get your money's worth with any *60 level card. ... show more

  • 1440p/ 120fps on consoles thru HDMI!
Great monitor for gaming on consoles. I Xbox Series X, and it does allow 1440/ 120. I can verify that as a fact, see image. Picture is great, but I've only had a couple of different monitors, so take that for what you will. HDR does work over HDMI, but was a little tricky to get it working. Not even really sure what I did, xbox just wasn't recognizing it at first. However, it limits your FPS to 60, so HDR is not worth it in my opinion. The extra FPS will enhance your enjoyment much more that HDR. And even though it is a 1440p display, it will allow you to select 4k for downscaling. And even though it is a Gsync monitor, it is compatible with Freesync. You can allow variable refresh rates in xbox settings. Anyway, great monitor if you're looking for a low refresh rate display for FPS gaming. Also, the stand is fantastic. You can raise/ lower to your eye level, and swivel 360°, I think. Haven't needed to do that. The lighting is kind of neat as well. ... show more

  • This is the ONE!!!
Ok, so I got this this monitor as an upgrade for my Asus PG279Q. First, let me say that I love my PG279Q. The picture quality of my PG279Q is simply amazing. Whether it's the brightness, contrast, colors, refresh rate, build quality and aestetics of the monitor, all of the boxes are checked and get an A+....except for one thing. That one thing is the response time. The response time of the PG279Q is actually pretty good, comparatively speaking, but it's not quite good enough for me. I only noticed the blurring when I was really really looking for it, particularly only in competitive fist person shooters. But the slower response time was noticeable, especially when the frames dropped below 120 fps. The 1ms advertised response time on the XG279Q was the main selling point for me because I loved everything about my PG279Q except for the slightly slower response time. Well, the XG279Q hits it out of the park because it plays and feels like a TN panel in terms of the responsiveness but maintains the amazing picture quality of my PG279Q. And I didn't think it would be possible but the picture quality on my new XG279Q actually surpasses that of my PG279Q. The colors are richer and the contrast has improved too, in my opinion. I also like the aesthetics of the monitor. The aurora lighting isn't something that I use but the build quality and looks of the monitor are fantastic. I think that the XG279Q is about to become one of the most popular and highly rated monitors on the market once more people get their hands on it ... show more
