  • Its a Beast!

AI2201-12G256G-BK [US Version]; It's a ASUS_AI2201_F Model, it supports all T-Mobile and ATT 4G/5G Frequency Bands it is also on the ATT tested and approved phones for the ATT network. I use T-Mobile just using 4G I get 100+ Mbps and on 5G I get 150+ Mbps. I live out in rural USA and this is way better than my last phone Zenfone 6 flip. I have had no negatives to really report, not sure why the rating is so low. Maybe lack of bloatware? I really enjoy the Asus UI, clean. Update: I've had the phone for over a week now and have had ZERO issues. Phone calls are crisp and clean, text are readable. I am not sure why this phone is rated so low. Fast charge, big screen no stoopid notch camera. I don't game on the phone, bought it for the hardware specs. ... show more

  • Great phone
Overall happy with the purchase, refresh rate is amazing battery is better, only thing is that the fingerprint scanner acts a little funny sometimes either than that works great. P.s. If the description says incompatible with CDMA networks know that Verizon and at&t are not gonna work, even if it says that it can work with at&t, chances are that is not, it says it can bc at&t is trying to move over to gsm networks but still hasn't happened yet. Works with T-Mobile perfectly. ... show more

  • Love this phone and everything about it except one thing
Hi there first time I've ever owned an ASUS phone and love the Batman edition. I love the easy 2 tap on the back for a screenshot feature and that it has 2 USB-C ports as well as the headphone jack! However there are a few things that are missing. There's no slot for a memory card. That's fine but I have tons of pics on my old phone. It's got almost no grip. I usually keep my phone on my lap when I drive and it slides so easily when I turn and falls from my pocket while wearing sweat pants or a hoodie pocket. I feel like insurance is a must from my experience cause it may fall out at any moment. I also bought a screen protector for it but when I play games it can get pretty hot. Hot enough to start to creating a separation between the screen and the protector and I've only been playing for about 30-45 minutes but that's mainly the screen protection's fault. Otherwise this is an amazing phone and would like to own more ASUS products in the near future. ... show more

  • So close to being perfect
I *really* wish I could like this phone. The screen is nice, the storage is fast and plentiful, it has the biggest battery I've ever seen in a phone, and it actually has a headphone jack! For $600, that's not a bad package in today's world. I also quite like some of the software tweaks (which are subtle, I'd say it's a perfected version of Android). If you're not into batman, it's also not hard to avoid most of those frills (I avoided everything but the fingerprint sensor button, but no biggie). Unfortunately, some things about this phone are just straight up obnoxious. Voice recognition is much worse than my previous phone (a pixel 5a), and somehow the 48MP camera isn't much of an improvement over that budget phone. The camera app is also extremely obnoxious, locking you out of zooming, or full 48MP shots (and you can only switch between the two 1-2 layers into a settings menu, there's no way to switch while actually taking pictures. The bottom USBC port is off-center (which I still can't get used to) and the headphone jack mirrors it (which isn't *too* bad, but I would have preferred it on the top). I also had trouble with the fingerprint sensor, I think largely due to the batman logo being a poor guide for finger placement (face unlock works pretty well though). It's also worth noting that this phone has an extremely poor dust protection rating, and *no* water protection rating whatsoever. Even if you don't go outside, a warm gaming phone in sweaty gamer hands seems slightly concerning. OS software is great, camera software is terrible, and build quality (only so far as port placement and dust/water protection goes) is pretty poor for a phone of this caliber. Again, I wish I could love this phone. But I need a good camera, and I need functional voice recognition more than I need a headphone jack. In a few years, I think I'll return to ASUS in the hopes that they've fixed these issues for their new phones. But until then, it is sadly going to be *this* that does the returning. ... show more

  • Better than almost everything else on the market for quality and cost.
Color: Storm White Configuration: 12GB RAM Digital Storage Capacity: 256 GB Connectivity Technology: 5G
Bought this phone to replace my ROG II (and ROG 3 that got water damaged and became irreparable). The batter life and processing speed is as good as ever. I like the feel of it, but it is annoying that you can't find a good case for it because of the low market share Asus has, even though I think their ROG phones are superior to anything Apple has, Samsung and LG too. I downrate this phone because while older screens were tough, this screen scratched easily just cleaning it on my cotton shirt (something I've never had a problem with on my previous ROG phones). That, and the lack of a good protective case, are my only real complaints about this phone. The camera is outstanding, as is the chipset for graphics and processing. Hopefully battery technology advances further to a 10,000mah hour battery in the same size as this. On average use, I charge my phone every two days; light use, ever 3. Update: 2023-08-24 The camera has started to malfunction where opening the camera app, or any app that uses the camera, like Snapchat, Line, Skype, etc, causes the phone to freeze, then restart. Initially when this started in April, it wasn't horrible as it would restart in 1-5 attempts, but now it might take 30-60 minutes to execute a successful restart (easily exceeding 100 attempts). It's still a good overall phone, but I'm sad to say, the ROG II Phone is still the best overall performing. Asus needs to up the build quality, and water resistance (at least provide silicon covers for the ports to keep them clean and dust/dirt-free), of the next ROG phone. Something else that would be nice it to try and keep the locations of things like cameras and ports the same so you can buy one phone case that works with each future phone iteration. I'll upload pictures and videos of the restart issue later. ... show more
