  • Better than ASUS Prime x670-P
Pattern: ATX Style: PRIME B650-PLUS
This mother board works. So, I can't complain. I went through two ASUS Prime x670-P boards. Both would not even post. I am using a Ryzen 9 7900 with the Crucial Pro RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR5 5600MT/s. My GPU is a NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti. Something I noticed was on first boot I had to hit the power button twice. I updated the BIOS as it has one from January 2023 on there. So far so good. If something goes south I will update this review. The benchmarks I'm getting from passmark are really good. For 65 watts, the Ryzen 9 7900 is the way to go. ... show more

  • Es lo que esperaba
Pattern: mATX Style: PRIME B550M-A AC

  • Nice board; just avoid the malware
Pattern: mATX Style: PRIME B550M-A/CSM
The CSM board is marketed as a "corporate stability" board, in theory with more Q/A and less variability in the firmware. But, like a lot of ASUS boards, this one will inject software into a Windows installation at each boot, and it's software that's hard to get rid of. For something targeting a more corporate use case, that's not acceptable at all. To avoid it, be sure to turn off the "Armoury Crate" feature in Advanced Mode, Tool, ASUS Armoury Crate. Also, on firmware upgrades, it may lose your settings, which is dumb; again definitely not appropriate for a corporate-targeted board. ... show more

  • NOT A FAN OF ASUS - LOOKS GOOD
Pattern: ATX Style: PRIME B550-PLUS
I really don't care about any of this aura sync and RGB trend. For me, the perfect computer is built in a silencio case with no lights at all. but it gives the proper performance to my ram and processor. It comes with very nice heatsinks that's plus, and I saw solid capacitors on it that actually could endure thru the years to come. Overall 7.5 out of 10. cons: NO RESET BUTTON NO POWER BUTTON 2023 TO 2024 at the edge of quantum computing and we still don't have a standardized cable for the power and reset switch and all the leading brands don't even care about this. hope an ASUS engineer takes this advice. ... show more

  • Budget Board Build Quality. Had to Return It.
Pattern: ATX Style: PRIME B650-PLUS
I installed the RAM, CPU, M.2 Storage then installed it in the case and that is when i noticed that the ADD Gen 2 header and the CPU Opt header had a bent pins. I found this to be odd since I had just opened the McBo and immediately installed it into the case. I did not notice the damage until after I installed it. This picture was taken right before installing it into the case. I was able to send it back and Amazon issued me a refund. I felt that the build quality on this board was somewhat cheap so I opted to order a ROG Strix B650E-E instead. ... show more

Es un b550, soy propietario de una tuf gaming b550 y no dista mucho en las prestaciones. Equilibrada. En el producto viene un cable duplicador para ventiladores, eso fue de mucha ayuda.

  • Good board but some learning curve
Pattern: ATX Style: PRIME B550-PLUS
I had previously built a gaming rig with similar hardware, but the MSI B550+, still Rizen 5600 Vermeer and Ripjay V's, that build went smoother but I tried some new things with this board. First, after building I got error beeps, 1 long and 3 short, which normally means memory (multiple seating, unseating, swapping with the other build). Turns out it wasn't memory but my video card wasn't seated well. Tried again and all good. Next comes my change, old build had a sata ssd drive, for this I got a Samsung M.2 drive for the OS. Install went fine but like others have seen, the bottom two sata port would not work. Turns out I used the lower M.2 slot, this shares those ports so if you install a drive on the lower (m.2.2) slot you lose 2 sata ports. I moved the drive to the M.2.1 port (next to the CPU, above the video card slot) and those two Sata ports came back. Something to look into if you have Sata issues (I have multiple drives on this machine so I need all Sata ports) Last nuance (so far), Windows was taking FOREVER to shut down. Restarts were ok, but you click shutdown, it would do nothing for a minute, then swirly circle with Shutting down, then blank but lights still on, overall 3-4 minutes. Tried multiple installs, disable hibernate, everything. Turns out, you need to do all Windows updates and then go into the optional updates and update all drivers (I suppose you could use the disks as well). Now that is smooth again too. So, great speed, lots of Sata, USB (2.0 and 3.2), and if i want to add a bunch of RGB I have those to play with. Will be playing with this for weeks and will update if I run across anything else. ... show more
