By popular demand, Astro introduces the 78318 Extra-Long Flex Head Nano Socket Ratchet Wrench! This 18” long 72-thooth flex-head ratchet features a c-ring retention design to allow low-profile Nano sockets to snap in and stay in, offering a slim 0.88” thick tool when paired with any Astro 3/8” drive Nano sockets and offerings from other brands that have caught on to this popular 17mm outside hex socket design. This means driving sizes all the way from 6mm to 24mm and every size in between when used with our 78319 6-24mm Nano socket set. As well as all SAE sizes as well. We made this one as long as our forging blanks could fit, 18” to access deep and difficult to reach bolts or just to provide that leverage you need on larger sizes, all while keeping your hands free.

Astro is a tried and true brand, and this is nothing short of a home run from Astro!! Astro makes great middle of the road tools for both diy'ers and pros. This is long overdue from astro and finally we get a long, nano socket compatible, flex head ratchet, with a super thin profile. I am extremely satisfied with this item and like most of astro's product line, it is very well priced, and affordable. This thing is beyond awesome!! I have quite a few astro tools in my lineup and I have never been disappointed, and this tool is no different. I can't say enough good things about this tool and I'm excited to get to wrenchin' with it!! If your on the fence about this tool, dont be, its worth every penny, and then some!! I seriously hope they come out with a version for their 1/2" nano set, or maybe even a 9" or 10" version, so you can get in closer quarters with the same low profile advantages. Astro is dropping some super fire new tools this year!! You should check out the astro 78354 10-Piece torque saver set. It's a 10mm-19mm no skip set and it is the EXACT SAME set that matco sells in 2 separate sets for over $600!! I don't mean it's like the matco set, I mean it's the EXACT SAME set that matco sells. High quality tool that feels heavy duty but not encombersome. It came in at a really good price for what it provides. Meant to be used with the astro 3/8 drive stubby impact socket set this provides the ultimate in low profile high torque capability that's often required for suspension and under the car jobs. Works great on pulleys and more open engine accessories. The length of the tool does prevent it from having access everywhere (nearly a breaker bar length) but that's where other tools come in. Had to replace customer's t-stat in a 2014 Toyota Highlander with the 2gr v6 engine. This tool with the stubby 14mm socket made removal of the micro-v-belt easy work. In my opinion this is a must have tool for automotive techs.

See picture. That is a 15 mm on the Asto vs a 15mm shallow on a standard 3/8 ratchet. While not for every job, it is an absolute necessity for some jobs.
