I got my first pair of these back in 2019, and they served me well for years. I was drawn to the twistable headband, as a person with a big head, that was the common failure point of every other pair I've owned. Also the detachable cable, and the mic having flip to mute. But there are some longevity issues: The fabric earpads will eventually get a bit dirty, and they're not made to be replaced. The colored fabric portion covering the drivers eventually got loose and I had to kinda push them back in there. The cable isn't a standard 3.5mm on both ends. The portion that plugs into the headphones is slightly longer, so you'll need to find a specific cable to replace it if it's damaged. The mechanism that holds the mic upwards wore out, and it would regularly flop down when I didn't want to use the mic. I "solved" this by wrapping a rubber band around it to give it some tension. The mic is also not made to be replaced.

For starters the wire cable is so long if you like that. It beeps every now and then. Literally beeping for like 30 seconds and I can’t hear anything 💀. Why send a bad batch to a black woman?!!!

Having tested and researched many microphones, I have found this to be a reliable set. I strictly use this for wired gaming, so the important factors for me are comfort, audio quality, and microphone quality. For $50 (I got it for $30 on sale), this has solid audio quality, high microphone quality, and passable comfort quality. Special notes: Ears do not fold, making this more difficult to store than other headsets. The shape of earpads is not uncomfortable, but allows for more audio leakage out of the bottom corners (would have preferred an oval shape). FINAL THOUGHTS: If you need a wired headset to get the job done, this is solid. If you want a high quality headset, wired or otherwise, this has some strong features, but not enough to beat a lot of the competition.

I've been using these headphones for a a few months now hasn't failed on me they sound pretty good not like the best sounds I've ever heard but really well for its price.

Saw this headset dropped to $20 from $60. Picked up it as my last headsets (two logitech G series) both broke off on one ear and ended up being dangly. The packaging is pretty barebones. You get the headset, a few manuals and a 3.5mm cable where a longer end goes into the headset and the other goes into your 3.5mm jack of choice. In this case I will be using a PS5 controller. The headset is powered by the controller - you simply plug it in and you'll be able to hear everything. I believe it is stereo sound when plugged into the microphone. This can be improved to 7.1 surround sound with a mixamp or some other attachments that don't come with the headset I believe. The sound is good. I can hear enemies and footsteps clearly. I've used this headset to play MW2 and I will attribute my poor performance to the sound in this game being horrible lol. The headset sounds fine from what I can tell after using it to browse on my PC and listen to music as well. I just suck. The mic is absolute trash. I would not buy this headset with the intent to communicate with others. If my game volume is too loud, it will simply bleed through the mic. For now I am sticking with the default PS5 controller microphone. That being said, the build quality looks solid - I feel that this headset will last longer than my two Logitechs. Astro has long been a brand I have nothing but good things to say about starting with their A40s back in the early Halo days, so when I saw them offering a "budget" headset I had to give them a try and so far I am happy. I would definitely purchase another one in a year or two if this one ends up breaking and the product is offered at the same price point.
