This is the coolest thing we have discovered. We hang it in our old wood stove (not usable) on our front porch, and it looks like the wood stove is actually working. It really does look that real. We use this for our Halloween display as well as with our Christmas display. It isn't all that big, but it is the perfect size for what I need. Great flickering and brightness and functionality to add a fire ambiance to your decor. I do have to add that this is my 2nd one of these from this same manufacture so I really can't answer to its longevity as the other one died after Christmas 2024, so I had to purchase another one for Halloween this year (2025), but I will tell you that if this one dies after just a few months, I might look at a different brand but maybe not as this one is PERFECT. Not a bad faux flame effect but... - If the fan weren't spinning so fast the flame would "flicker" at a slightly slower rate which would be more realistic - LED bulbs would be more energy efficient than the halogen bulbs included, and not nearly as hot if accidentally touched (these can be easily replaced, BTW, if you wish to at home -- just match the bulb type, like these ones on Amazon: 3W MR11 LED Landscape Light Bulbs, Low Voltage 12V 20W Halogen Replacement) - using one amber and one red color filter caps would add more realistic color to the flame than the two amber-yellow ones included ... show more
