Very nice looking mug. And it arrived in pristine condition with no scratches or dents. Seems well made, perhaps not quite as rugged as the Yeti, but sturdy. The slider top works well, and the slider itself is easily removed for thorough cleaning of the lid. It is not leak proof, and the company doesn't claim that it is. But the slider top when closed doesn't allow splashing and spilling when I'm walking about. So far I've had no problem with the slider getting loose and not staying in place. I'll update my review if this happens. The rounded handle is comfortable, though I slightly prefer the more square shape of the handle on the same size Yeti mug. The stand out feature is the ceramic coating inside. It looks great, and seems to clean up nicely with a soft bottle brush. Stains come right off. So it stays looking great - so far anyway. And it certainly is taste neutral, though I personally don't have a problem with uncoated food grade stainless steel. After three months, I still really like this mug. But be careful! There is a tiny rubberized gasket on a short column on the top of the lid. This gasket keeps the slider in place - open or closed. When you push the slider off from the bottom, there is a small chance that the gasket will fall out. I suggest removing the gasket while cleaning. Losing the gasket explains the trouble people have with loose sliders. ... show more

I like the concept. I find that stainless steel gives coffee a slightly metallic and watery taste so I like having an insulated porcelain mug. However the porcelain on the inside as well as the bronze coating on the bottom are rapidly wearing out and started after about 6 months of heavy use. The lid stops splashes, but is not designed to stop spills. The handle is slightly uncomfortable and I wish it would be more rounded rather than just a straight peice of metal. But this cup has definitely taken a few hits and hasn't broken yet. So I would say it's a great work cup, but that's about it. ... show more

This is exactly what I was looking for in a travel/daily mug - I hate the flavor stainless steel adds so I was super happy to find this ceramic lined mug. It works great, tastes great, and keeps the coffee pretty warm. As others have noted, the weak point is definitely the lid. It's impossible to get it completely clean under all the little sliding parts, so it ends up stained brown after just a few uses. Then there's the sliding top cover... it functions solely on a single little piece of rubber underneath, and when that fails (it will) the lid won't stay in the position you want. So it opens on its own when you need it closed to prevent spilling, and it closes on you while you want it open to drink from. It's terrible. The don't sell their replacement lids here on Amazon for some bizarre reason - they sell them on their own website for $5....... plus $10 shipping. Yes, you read that correctly, they charge TEN DOLLARS to ship a tiny plastic lid bringing the total to $15 just to replace the lid that THEY designed poorly smh. One other small issue is that you cannot microwave the mug because of the metal on the bottom. Might not be a big deal to most people, but it's an annoyance for me sometimes. If I don't drink the coffee fast enough and it starts to cool, since I use a Keurig machine I don't have a pot of coffee sitting there I can use to "warm up" the coffee in the mug, and I can't warm it up in the microwave. So I just drink it at whatever temperature it's at. Overall, I do like this mug. I would love it if they figured out another solution for the lid. Or at least sell them on their Amazon store so I don't have to pay that ridiculous amount for shipping, I would absolutely buy one for $5 on Prime. ... show more

This keeps my coffee hot for roughly half an hour and warm for a long time. The material inside the mug does not stain or hold flavors. The sliding cap on the lid really isn't spill proof, it is more like splash proof, but I can live with that. My only complaint is that the sliding cap is so loose that it often slides shut when you tilt the mug to drink. ... show more

My daughter left milk in it, unbeknownst to me, for several days and I cannot get the odor out of that enamel coating no matter how long I soak it in vinegar or how many times I wash it. I had to throw it out after several attempts to deodorize it. Super sad as I really enjoyed this mug!

Pros --keeps coffee hot longer than stoneware, especially when filled with hot water first. --plastic lid fits securely, although we don't use them --easy to clean, occasionally swipe the inside with a vinegar rinse to eliminate filmy build up Cons --does not keep morning coffee hot significantly longer than our stoneware mugs--probably 10--15 minutes more --other reviewers say the "sippy flap" in the lid isn't secure--don't know, we don't use them --not dishwasher safe, even on top shelf --too big to fit in most car cups --takes up more cupboard space than a regular coffee mug I like to linger over my morning cup of coffee and it often gets cold before I'm through the first cup so I've been looking for a thermal option for quite a while. I would call these cups (purchased 2) perfectly adequate and give them 3 stars. My husband would call me perfectly picky and give them 5. Hence the 4 star rating. Not being able to toss them into the dishwasher is more annoying than I anticipated. The outer coldness of the stainless steel parts and the over sized circumference of the mug are not . . . thrilling. Now, I realize this is not a deal breaker for most people. On a camping trip these mugs would work great. Btw, for now, I've switched to our half sized English stoneware mugs that allow me enough coffee to linger over yet finish before it gets cold. And I do realize this is quite possibly the most inconsequential review I've ever written. Buy them on a lightning deal--you'll probably like. them. ... show more
