I'm pretty sure this shoe is on the way out and why it is so heavily discounted. I'm working a different profession where I'm outside 30% of the time and much more active, walking 6-7 miles a day. My wife insists I need to get out of my white "Dad" NB and Nike shoes for something with more color. And of course I don't want to move away from what works. For me, trail and running shoes are what I feel most comfortable in when on an occasional ladder or crawling around equipment on a trailer. The right balance of lightness and support. The lasting places on the tongue allow for various ways to lace these shoes for optimal fit. The grip on wet metal is a nice surprise. I like these so much, I've ordered three pairs and have them in rotation.

The only problem with the shoe is the ad on Amazon, which states to order your normal size. This doesn't work. I've been wearing 10.5 Wide for 30 years. So, the original order was too short and too narrow. So I reordered a size 11, thinking that an 11 shoe would be wide enough...wrong. Long enough, but too narrow. So then I reordered an 11 Wide, and viola!! they fit fine. Other than the size issue, it's a great shoe. Well worth the $46. Also, ASCICS gave me absolutely no problems refunding my first two orders AND, they paid for return shipping!!! Can't beat that.

For the price you really can’t beat it. These shoes are the most comfortable I’ve had in awhile. Of course you can always find better, but your going to spend a lot more. These shoes fit nice, give support, and last. Do yourself a favor and get you a pair. I use them while I work stocking freight. I’m in a concrete floor all night long so it’s nice to stand in comfort.

I have purchased 5 pairs of this brand of shoe in the same size over a 5 year period,some for work and some for after work and the size has always been the same,this last pair the size is a little bit smaller in the length,pretty unhappy with that,quality is still good but not the same fit for sure.

As soon as I got these delivered, I put them on and went to Sam’s Club to walk around. They felt like a glove on my feet. I had no discomfort at all no soreness or anything. Immediately went on a couple of hikes in the next few days. One a seven mile and later a five then a six mile hike. They are so comfortable. They do get dirty and need to be wiped down periodically. Trail dust sticks like glue but that’s it. Great investment

I had the Venture 6 and loved them. When they started getting hard to find, I tried these after reading a lot of reviews. They are the same size front to back and side to side as the 6, but there is more padding in the insole, making them effectively much smaller. To try to make it clearer, I lace up the 6, I have about a 1/4” gap, but with the 8 it’s about an inch. I really like the shoe, but these are really uncomfortable with whatever they did on the inside.

I have 5 pair if Asics shoes all 11.5 men's. I bought these in 11.5 and I probably needed a 12 or even a 12.5. No big deal. I had the smell problem at the outlet l. I just went across the street and bought my first pair of Brooks Ghosts. Nothing against Asics.

An excellent all-around shoe. They can be used for running, walking and hiking. I've discovered they also serve as a fantastic golf shoe. Their wider support sole, breathable uppers and grippy sole pattern make them ideal to use on the course, especially for golf walkers like me. I've been an avid Asics running shoe wearer for many years. While I don't typically use these for running, they're suited for almost anything you can throw at them. I will most certainly buy them again when these wear out.
