This response provides stability and comfort for the duration of a run. Rearfoot PureGEL technology: Softer, updated version of our GEL technology. Approximately 65% softer vs standard GEL technology. A daily runner for decades and now a daily walker, I’ve exclusively worn ASICS shoes since the introduction of the GT series and then several iterations of the Gel-Kayanos. These are amongst the best versions to date. Super comfortable, lightweight, excellent support and attractive looks. I love em and am getting a second pair. For background, I have been running in the Kayano 31 and really enjoy them. Naturally, I needed to add the 32 into my rotation. Overall, it’s a great shoe for me and I find it all around more comfortable than the Kayano 31, while offering a great running experience. Technically, I don’t NEED a stability shoe but that doesn’t stop me from running in the Kayano 32. I like the ankle and heel support this shoe offers. I always feel snug and secure. While I don’t excessively overpronate, I do like how the 4D Guidance system helps me feel more confident in how my foot is striking the ground. One of my complaints about the Kayano 31 was about the lack of support in the forefoot and compression in the toe box - even in an extra wide size. These issues have been corrected in the Kayano 32. The added foam under the forefoot tremendously improves the running comfort and the slight changes to the toe box and/or upper allow my toes to spread much more freely and have alleviated the hot spot on my little toe. The only aspect of the Kayano 32 that left me disappointed was the decision to move away from the more padded tongue and to the thin, stretchy tongue that’s used on the other ASICS models. I have a higher instep and this allows the laces to create a pressure point more easily. I also don’t like the giant loop at the top of the tongue that serves as the catch point for the laces. It just feels like a lazy design to me and isn’t as practical. ... show more

    • Great shoes with a lot of support! Will be buying again!

These shoes were my game changers. This was my second pair but when I put these on they gave me so much support my knees stopped hurting and for a big guy who doesn't jump. Let me tell you I felt like I could jump with these shoes. They are also very comfortable, although I think I should have ordered them as 10 wide because my feet ache after a while and I think its because I need a wider shoe for my flat foot. Other than that, they help a lot when I walk now. And I feel better wearing these than when im barefoot. Thanks to these I got a second pair that were wide and now I use them one week on and off to keep them from wearing out too fast. I highly recommend them! ... show more

First Kayanos purchase. Size 10 wide. I have 4” wide feet and It is a snug fit on the middle and rear of feet. Could be tight for some, but it’s not too bad for me. However in the front, the toe space is great. Very roomy. The shoe itself is lightweight and gives you a solid inch boost in height from the cushion. For support, initial impressions are positive from me. I have flat feet over pronation and this shoe definitely made my step more stable, but the first few days, it made my feet sore so hopefully over time it will get better. It’s very hard to trip and is very comfy when running and walking so its functionality is good. Only downsides I have seen are that it’s not very breathable and it’s longer than my old shoes for the same size so when walking down steps the back hits the stairs. Overall, I am happy with it. Hopefully after breaking them in they will loosen up a bit on the sides. ... show more

    • Comfortable, but disappointing durability for the price

I’ve been a long-time fan of the Gel-Kayano line and have owned the 30s and 31s with no issues. The 32s are just as comfortable and perform well for running, but they started showing wear and separation after about 150 miles. That’s not what I’d expect from a shoe in this price range. I reached out to ASICS about it, but they said the wear was normal, which was disappointing. At roughly a dollar per mile, the value just isn’t there. It’s unfortunate, because I’ve really liked this model in the past, but I’ll probably look for a different running shoe next time. ... show more

    • Best Stability Shoe !
Size: 8.5 Color: Black/Graphite Grey
The media could not be loaded. I ended up ordering the Wide model along with the standard size and found that the Wide version felt better for my feet and had a slightly larger toe box, however if you have regular shaped feet the non-wide version should be fine.

 They are true to size do you do not need to worry about going one size up or down.

 The shoe provides excellent comfort but more importantly stability.
 If you are like me that over pronates when you step, these shoes are designed to provide stability and help correct over pronation.

 There are other shoes out there that are “softer” and make you feel like you are walking on clouds however that lack of stiffness and support will end up messing up your feet in the long run.

    • Disappointed in the new Nimbus? Get this shoe instead.
Size: 13 Color: Black/Graphite Grey
The new Nimbus was a bummer for this 15 year Nimbus head. So much cushion it feels unstable and weird. The Kayano is much more stable with plenty of cushion, kind of how the Nimbus used to be. Very happy with this shoe.

Size: 10.5 Color: Winter Sea/Midnight
I've been wearing this shoe for several years. Asics for over 12. This model is way softer than the previous and feels unstable. Resembles HOKA shoes. I will be looking for a model with better stability next time.
