Update: It looks like the only thing it killed is the fan hub, one of the fans, and the power switch on my computer case. I got lucky! This could have been much worse and I definitely wouldn't recommend buying this product! If you mount these with the blade side against the case, the fan will rub. Mine froze up and shorted out the controller. Now my computer won't post. Not sure what it took out with it. Hopefully just the PSU! Time to start swapping components to assess the damage. Will update once I figure it all out. I highly recommend you avoid these fans!!! ... show more

Update August 2020: The fans are starting to show oil leakage like the other reviewers have mentioned, but on a positive note there is a one year warranty with these fans. I reached out to AsiaHorse and they are sending me 6 new fans. They have started to show oil leakage, and the bearings sound like they may be starting to go. We'll see what happens with them over more time, but at least there is warranty. The Pros: - PWM Mode works with the motherboard - LED Controls work really well and can sync colors to other items such as RAM/CPU coolers. Fully spectrum of color. - Remote is kinda cool for basic inputs. - Fan speeds are on the slower end, but the remote has 3 speed options and even the low has been okay at keeping my computer cool under 100% load stress tests. Fans for liquid cooling could be better for airflow through a radiator. - Only one set of wires per fan vs. Corsair/other brands having Fan and LED controls. - side view of colors through the white plastic. Other fans don't have that Cons: -Don't move the most air - but this has not been a problem for me really -the control hub is pretty cheap....could be better made -wires are definitely cheap....y'all coulda gone with at least a gauge or two bigger.... I've had these for around a month, and would absolutely purchase them again. the PWM and LED control abilities put these right up there with higher brand fans at a fraction of the cost. If they hold up over a couple years of use....itll be perfect. ... show more

Avoid these fans, I purchased these fans less than 2 months ago and they have begun to fail. The bearings have lost lubricant and have started to grind, it’s quite easy to tell they have lost lubricant as they spray your case with the lubricant while in use. If you want to have to redo your cable management and install new fans in just another few months then yeah get these and much like a firework display they will look pretty and be over soon (make sure to grab some windex and rubbing alcohol because you’ll need it). I am not looking forward to the work I will have to do to uninstall these fans and install a working set (from a reputable brand).. but it will be nice not not be constantly cleaning off my case and components due to them being sprayed with hydraulic bearing fluids. ... show more

These are some of the best fans I've ever used and I've probably used 2 dozen brands doing PC builds for myself and friends. They are as quiet as it's possible to get and the color is fantastic. They sell packages with 3 or 5 fans but the controller can handle twice that many without loading your ARGB header because it uses a SATA power connector to handle the load for both the fans and the lights. The claims that fans can leak oil is ridiculous since fan motors use sealed bearings and synthetic oil that coats the surface of the internal parts so there is nothing to drip. My only complaint is that the fans use non-standard pinout with all the ARGB and PWM signals in a single plug. They did this because it's much easier to install 1 plug than 2 but it means their fans can only be used with their controller. This won't matter to you unless you have several computers and want to use standard replacement parts. For most people, these fans will be perfect. ... show more

    • DO NOT BUY PWM VERSION!!
Do not buy the pwm version!!! Would give 0 if I could. Complete waste of time. Ok first of all I didn’t realize the pwm version didn’t come with a fan hub or a controller but I figured it would be fine because I was going to control these with a program on my computer and have them plugged into a argb port on my motherboard which is how you’re supposed to set these up. I spent over an hour taking out my old fans and installing these, when I plugged my computer in the fans started flashing and my computer wouldn’t boot. The pwm version comes in sets of 3 and 5 which means you’re supposed to be able to daisy chain at least 5 of the argb connectors. But for some reason If daisy chain more then 2 fans they stop working correctly. Now I have to remove all the fans I just spent an hour putting in and I gotta put my old ones back in. I’m ordering the normal version hoping the non pwm version will work correctly since they have an actual hub. ... show more

I was building a white out computer, so I needed some white fans. I ended up settling on these as I really liked the look and cost. The fans them self where what you would expect, they mounted easily, they were absolutely white, and they wiring was well done. My only complaint would be the fan controller. It's super cheap and feels flimsy, it has no magnets just double sided tape (come on it even has slots for magnets) it didn't install easy enough. it requires sata for power, and then you can connect to PWM and RGB on your board (or don't and you can control with the included controller) I didn't play around with the controller, I only used it to set my fans to PWM and RGB synch on my motherboard. Which I had no issues with. The fans are not whisper quiet, but they are comparable to other companies fans that have a much higher price point. My advice if you want this to work all off of your motherboard is... Read the instructions! You need to press the "w" button X amount of times to turn on PWM from the motherboard, and you need to press "power" very quickly twice to turn on RGB synch from motherboard. If you don't do this you'll have to use the remote. Overall once they were in and I had them switched to my MB I had no issues. Armory crate allowed me to adjust their colors easily. (Disclaimer, the fans use a proprietary connector that will only work with the included hub) ... show more
