⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently purchased the Full-Size Guitar Kit, complete with a padded gig bag, and I'm thrilled to share my experience. As a beginner looking to dive into the world of music, this kit has surpassed all my expectations and has provided everything I needed to start my journey. Here's why it deserves a glowing five-star review: **Quality of the Guitar:** The guitar itself is a masterpiece for beginners and intermediate players alike. The craftsmanship is notable, with a beautiful finish and a comfortable neck that makes learning chords and scales a breeze. The sound quality is impressive, producing clear and rich tones that encourage me to play for hours. It stays in tune well, a testament to its quality construction and the attention to detail from the manufacturer. **Comprehensive Kit:** This kit comes packed with every accessory a beginner could need - a padded gig bag, a tuner, picks, a strap, and even a set of spare strings. It's evident that a lot of thought went into assembling this kit to ensure a beginner has no obstacles to starting their musical journey. The inclusion of a durable gig bag is a major plus, providing convenience and protection for the guitar during transportation. **Padded Gig Bag:** Speaking of the gig bag, it's not just an afterthought. The padding is sufficiently thick, offering great protection against knocks and bumps. The bag also features handy pockets for storing accessories, making it easy to keep everything organized and accessible. The adjustable straps and robust zippers add to the overall convenience and durability. **Ease of Use:** For someone just starting, this guitar kit has made the learning process so much more enjoyable. The guitar's playability, combined with the quality of accessories provided, allows for a seamless learning experience. It's comfortable to play, both standing with the strap or sitting down, making practice sessions something I look forward to. **Value for Money:** Considering the quality of the guitar and the comprehensive nature of the kit, the price is more than reasonable. It's an investment into a hobby that not only adds value but brings immense joy and satisfaction. The affordability does not compromise the quality, which is something not often found in starter kits. **Customer Support:** Although not directly related to the product itself, the customer service experience deserves mention. Any queries I had were addressed promptly and courteously, adding to a positive overall experience with this purchase. In conclusion, the Full-Size Guitar Kit with Padded Gig Bag is an exceptional choice for anyone looking to start their musical journey. It offers incredible value, quality, and a comprehensive set of tools to get you playing right out of the box. Whether you're buying it for yourself or as a gift, it's sure to delight and inspire music lovers of all ages. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone on the fence about where to begin with learning guitar. ... show more

  • I like this better than my "real" Fender Strat
Color: Blue-Black
I like this better than my "real" Fender Strat. Setup was pretty good out of the box. Only one string needed to be adjusted to bring it down. Electronics sound good, pots not scratchy. Fret ends were not protuding and even the strings are pretty good. Finish was perfect. This is my 3rd Ashthrope (2 electric/ acoustic and this strat copy) and all have been great. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Good for the price
Not bad, used it to make a replica of Kurt Cobain's Vandalism Strat.

  • Good beginner guitar
This is a good, playable beginner electric guitar with a standard "Strat" layout. The construction is sturdy and it will take some serious abuse. Frets are not too sharp and not buzzy even with low action and all the way up the fretboard. The woodwork was done well enough to not make me bleed when running crazy licks. It will hold its tune very well and does not warp at all even when using unusual or non-standard tunings. I've tuned it all the way up to F#BEAC#F# with no damage. You get five pickup/tone configurations, a whammy bar (that I can't seem to get to work right), a tone and volume knob. Knobs and levers work as expected. As typical for budget guitars, the tone delivery isn’t great out of the box. It's punchy and mid-rangey kind of like an archtop guitar but also tinny and faint sometimes. You know that sound glass makes right before it shatters? It sounds kind of like that unless you EQ it right. Fortunately, this guitar is modifiable. It can probably be customized with spare strat/squire parts, but I would have rather paid a slightly higher price and gotten more value. Nevertheless, I still use this for home recordings. There’s not much a little mixing magic can’t work out. All in all, it's a great beginner or practice guitar. For live music, though, I would want to use a Squier at least for tone delivery. ... show more

  • Great beginners guitar
I purchased this guitar for my 11 year old grandson who is just starting out his guitar journey. The guitar arrived packed in a cardboard box and inside was the gig bag with the guitar inside of the bag well protected. The bag is nice and all of the extras were included. The guitar was in perfect condition with no nicks or scratches. Setting it next to my Squier Affinity the same color it was difficult to tell them apart. Very pleased with the look and the finish of the guitar. The frets were perfectly acceptable and playable. The pickups, strings and tuners were obviously lower quality parts compared to my Squier. I will change to better strings in the future. The guitar was pretty well setup when I received it so after just a bit of tuning it was ready to play. The tone is not as rich as my Squier but I would expect that. Overall the guitar was easy to play, it sounded just fine for a beginners guitar and it looks great. I think this would be a great guitar for anyone just starting out and they should be happy with it for years. If you are looking for Fender quality for a $100.00 price you will probably be disappointed. ... show more
