This makes it seem like it plugs in to an outlet and that it would sound electric...it uses a 9v battery and definitely does NOT sound electric. I bought this guitar from my daughter it was her Christmas / birthday present and she has played it with her Rocksmith game and I enjoyed it very well the strings are easy to press has a very good sound doesn't leave any kind of bad ringing or deadstring sound. This sound on the amplifier is not even loud at max volume and after a few days the amplifier's sound quality just becomes terrible. Not even half a month of owning it and the amplifier sounds muffled. The guitar gets out of tune very quick for some odd reason.
