The support metal slats that were on my old daybed were broken. We ordered this wooden slat to be placed over the old metal frame. It made an amazing difference. The mattress was now supported and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this product.

The slats are made of flimsy plywood. I used it with an older metal bed frame we already had. The slats were all about 3/4" too long, so I had to cut them off to get them to fit in the frame. They sagged quite a bit after putting the foam mattress on them. I had to purchase extra supports to put in the middle of the slats to keep them from sagging so much. So the bed we were replacing this on was a full size platform storage bed from Ashley. I measured the old bunkie board just to make sure I was getting the right size as I noticed several full size bunkie boards varied in width. Went to place the item in and several of the boards were too short. While some were the right size over half the boards were too short to fit in the frame. They varied between 1/4in to nearly 3/4in off. Had to return them as we were unable to attach to our bed.
