While I wish they came in different colors/finishes, I do like these. Each order comes with 2 "strips" and holds a total of 14 books. I ordered 2 so I have 28 books nicely organized and hanging above my bedside table. I have 3 floor to ceiling bookcases and no more room for another but there's just so many BOOKS out there. These are an immense help. I'd love them if I'd gotten a color that I liked.

The media could not be loaded. I'm so glad I decided to go with something a little creative for my book display, it came out great! I purchased 4 (so a total of 8 fourteen-inch segments), and I was glad to see that you don't need to connect them with the metal plate, you can do them individually as well. They were easy enough to install, although I did decide to use my own anchors since I was installing on a plaster wall. The one disappointment is that two of the strings broke out of their hangers as soon as I put light pressure on them (the holes were too wide for the knot). I tried tying a bigger knot to hold it in the hole, but then the string ended up much shorter than the others, and the book didn't hang level with the other books. But overall I'm very pleased and love it!

Was really looking forward to setting up my books after installing, but found out that one of the hangers was just loose. It broke off. Edit: I contacted customer support about this and they helped resolve the problem fully. Fast too. Would recommend and buy again.

I absolutely love this Hanging Shelf! It has such versatility when it comes to how you are able to display your favorite books or even just store them ac you can also just turn them spine out! I recently got into collecting manga and need a decent space to show them off but didn’t want a traditional bookshelf that would take up floor space. So I’m absolutely thrilled that I found these and for such an affordable price they come with just enough to get you started but I’ll tell you what if you are anything like me you will already be planning on buying another one..so just go ahead and buy 2!

I thought I’d be impressed that it came in a nice cloth bag but the whole thing was knotted beyond use. After wasting an hour trying to unknot the strings I had the cut the string and I’m going to try and salvage the money I spent by buying string and reassembling it diy style🤦🏽♀️

Ash Harbor’s product pictures and video are pretty well done, so not a lot to add in terms of my own pictures. I’m more excited about this bookshelf than I’ve been about any product in a while. I think a lot of readers put effort into how and where we display things on our book shelves. This is a novel concept that is still practical for storage, display, and access; I’m reminded of display stands for vinyl covers that let you know what’s currently playing. Will this replace more traditional bookshelves? Absolutely not. Is this a visually interesting way to highlight a particular title or keep your current read(s) handy? Absolutely. This went up easy and looks good. Excited to see what guest have to say about the shelf and the books being displayed. This shelf comes with minimal but well branded packaging. Two lengths of shelving (referred to as rails hereafter), 14 “pins”, two small metal connector pieces and a hardware pack containing shorter connector screws and longer wood screws (with drywall anchors) for mounting. Take care removing the pins; they weren’t tangled, but a few required a little help as I slowly separated them and set them aside. The “dark” option is a rich cherry stain with a subtle grain. The pins are the same and the chords are dyed to match. The chord is threaded through the holes on a small square button on which the book rests when hanging. The “shelf” is a rail with a groove on the top side. The pins nest in the groove and sit flush against front, top, and inside walls of the groove, which prevents them from pivoting over the top edge and falling. The quality control for the set is quite good; tolerances were tight for all the pins. As note, books can be display in a ‘spine out’ orientation – ie perpendicular to the wall, or ‘cover-out’ which is more or less parallel to the wall. With two (02) fourteen inch sections of rail, there’s ample room for 14 books ‘spine out.’ If you want to display the covers you may need to overlap some titles or employ a mix. Note: The book pictured is hung “incorrectly.” I’ve got the cord outside the spine to facilitate the ‘cover-out’ orientation and to help keep the slip cover on (hardback). Probably wouldn’t do this with a collection piece, but for my well-worn, marked up, personal copies, a little wear on the spine is a bit of a moot point. INSTALL: The install is probably on par with hanging a large picture. It comes with a paper template for the spacing of the holes (use a level). If you don’t plan on hanging multiple large books, you probably don’t need to make specific effort to locate a stud; the included drywall anchors should be sufficient to hold moderate loads.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice decorative bookshelf for the wall. I don’t know that it’s worth the price though. It is made well but it is very lightweight, uses very little material, and only has the capacity to hold a dozen books.
