I have been a contractor for over 10 years and have installed countless recessed lights. Typically when you have a trimless fixture like this one, there will be a knockout plate attached to the mud plate that blocks any drywall mud during installation. These don’t, and if you get so much as a thimble of drywall mud in the housing it is nearly impossible to install the light. Beyond that, the quality of the components is very poor. I installed 9 of these lights and checked all of them before doing any drywall work. They were all installed correctly, but after performing the drywall work one of the drivers failed. You can’t retrieve the driver after the drywall has been installed, so this means you have to completely undo all of the drywall work you did which is extremely frustrating. On top of all this, the customer service is useless. I contacted the seller and, not surprisingly, they tried to shift the blame on me and assumed improper installation. I tested ALL of the lights prior to drywall work, and yet one of the drivers still failed after less than a month. What ever happened good customer service? I can only hope someone takes my advice to look elsewhere. Otherwise … don’t says I didn’t warn you! ... show more

    • NIce clean look and great lighting

The trimless 2" LED replaced the builder 6" can lights and looks fantastic in comparison. A bit of work to remove the can and mount (Halo brand) but managed and repaired the ceiling prior to cutting the new holes for the recessed trimless lights. They are slick to install (would be so much easier on a new build), and they allow the adjustable warmth setting from the 2700 to 5000k. We use the 3500k most. Was worried about the spot 38deg angle however with a 10ft ceiling they seem to cover very well. Installed 3 in our entry, and will consider the other 15 builder installed cans in the future. ... show more
