  • It is VERY addicting once you get started!
Love the keyboard! I’m a beginner, so we will see how it holds up in the long run, but it seems to be well-made and of fairly good quality. I’m very satisfied with this purchase!

  • Cheap product lines = poor velocity sensitivity and feeling
Pro: -Cheap -Lots of assignable knobs and faders Con: -Key velocity is terrible on the Essential series -Faders' MIDI singals failed to be detected by Studio One (tested on 2 Essential series keyboards, and other brands don't have this issue) As a MIDI keyboard, the most important function is the MIDI signals sent by the keyboard. But even though I have chosen the most soft key response via the software of the keyboard, it still didn't do any better. The velocity will be two extremes, either above ~90% or below ~30%, when you try to play anything using the keys. I ended up returning this keyboard and get another brand, specifically Roland, and Roland didn't let me down. The A-49 got a pretty good key sensitivity and feeling, and the price is about the same level as this one. The only downside is that there is no 61 keys version for the A-series. (except the A800-PRO, which is too expensive compare to the Keylab 61 Essential) ... show more

  • Key or note sticking.
This midi controller paired with Arturias VST a note keeps sticking. Different notes. Apparently does not sent the midi off note. This is a known issue. No solution on Arturia forums. Firmware updates did not correct. Makes the whole thing useless.

Be careful when ordering. The product title says 61 key but the description has 49 key. I received the 49 key and returned it.
