As the owner of two mini schnauzers, I am no stranger to backyard yapping. Anything on the other side of the fence is immediate reactivity, and their eyesight is always way better than I think it's going to be - barking at dogs a yard over, but also people taking walks along the street, and kids playing several yards away. It doesn't feel fair to put bark collars on them every time we put them outside so I thought I'd try this privacy fence to allow them to enjoy their backyard a little more. The material feels durable, and there's plenty of zip ties to attach it with. This 50 feet is only enough to cover one side of the yard, so we picked the side with the neighbor dogs that they love to bark at. This cover seems to restrict a lot of their visibility, but it's not 100% opaque. I don't see them take off to the fence to bark at things nearly as much. Now, they obviously still can hear, so there's still things to gruff about. I do think it's making a difference though and I plan to accumulate enough to block the whole fence for them. ... show more

This Artpuch 4’x50’ privacy fence screen is an addition to my preexisting 50’ screen I installed about 2 weeks ago. It completes the privacy I needed from the unwanted eyes facing our back yard. The material is thick enough to even deflect some of the sounds (loud music, karaoke, talking, etc.) The screen feels like it can withstand sun and rain for at least a few years before it starts to breakdown, we will see. I prefer the clean looking neutral beige screen over the other colors, it gives our back yard a cleaner more organized appearance. The knitted premium polyethylene material used to make this screen is tightly woven and pretty much blocks out the ability to see through our chain-link fence from the other side… love it. The heavy-duty black trim, which is secured to the screen perimeter using double stitching, has plenty of large brass grommets to provide a secure, tight installation using the provided zip-ties or whatever you want to us to secure the screen in place. Another feature to mention is the ability to block out the wind. After installing this additional 50ft of screen on our 100ft long, 4ft high back chain-link, the wind passing through our back yard was cut down drastically. I like this screen so much I will be installing another 50ft to the side chain-link 100ft fence of our house. I am very happy with these privacy screen results and wish I had found this option way sooner! ... show more

    • Durable and easy to install

I think this material has a great amount of coverage and isn’t super seethru. It feels very durable and I don’t think I’m worried that the wind will destroy it easily any time soon. I found the installation onto my chain link fence was really easy and I didn’t need any help to complete it myself. It comes with a lot of zip ties to use which is nice, however I found them to be a little bit short when I was attaching it in certain areas around the metal framework of my fence which was necessary at certain points along the fence. I used my own zip ties for those sections. I used this along my back fence to give my backyard some semblance of privacy in comparison to my completely see thru chain link fence. This product is only 4 foot tall so it’s not going to provide complete privacy, obviously, but if you aren’t standing right by the fence then it does make the backyard feel a lot more private which is really nice. I was worried that it would be really tacky looking and make my backyard feel like it looked like a construction site but the color doesn’t bother me and with some plants and decor in front of it then it won’t be noticeable at all. I will be buying more of these to cover the rest of my garden for sure ... show more

    • Nice for quick additional privacy

I wouldn’t say this provides complete privacy, but it does provide quick additional privacy when used with other methods. My wife had constant complaints about people being able to see into the backyard when they’d drive by and her and the kids were out playing. The ultimate end goal is a board on board fence at least 8’ tall, but that is a pricey adventure, even if you’re doing the work yourself. This brought up the search for other methods to create more privacy for them to play with peace of mind. I tried trees, and the dogs had a hay day turning them to twigs and toys, I tried making it board on board myself, and it’s just not feasible when you’re ultimately going to replace the whole fence. I found this and had to give it a try. I figured it might be similar to the stuff that was used on construction sites, and that’s really the closest thing to describe this. It doesn’t provide complete privacy, but it does provide that additional layer to help. I installed this over our builder grade 6’ fence that is 15 years old at this point. It’s not the best thing this privacy screen could be working with, but I have done significant maintenance in the last 7 years so it’s not the worst thing either. Let’s just say that the gaps between boards is significantly bigger than it should be. This privacy screen makes that fence how it should be. You can still see through, but it isn’t as bad as it was, and my wife is much happier. Installation was interesting, but that’s because our street has the houses built up 4-5 feet above the alley/roads. This was easy to install on the flat part at the bottom of the yard, just put some screws in every few grommets. The tricky part came in when I had extra screen and had to go up the hill. It also comes with the “ugly” side of the fence, so it had to go from the smooth section to the rails and posts. It was still the same method, but slightly more tricky since it was dealing with the extra junk instead of just stretching this out. This is a great addition to other methods of privacy.
