This is my review of ARTME’s Acrylic Metallic Colors You get 24 acrylic paints in 24 plastic squeeze bottles. They are fitted with a pouring top and tight-fitting caps. Although I have left them laying on their sides, they have never experienced a single leak. The colors are brilliant, bold, and beautiful, plus you get excellent coverage with a minimum amount of paint. They come out of the bottles smooth (no lumps) and can be easily mixed with other colors and additives, such as, acrylic flow medium. For acrylics they appear very realistic and almost appear to shimmer, just a metallic object would do. I have been using them to paint small items for my dioramas, but they would be excellent in ceramics, or on a canvas, and I intend to use them for some rock painting. This was a present for my granddaughter who loves to paint and experiment with colors. She really likes the color choices and is enjoying using the wide selection of metallic colors. The quality of the paint is good and the set is good value for the money. Paint quality appears to be good.

    • Weak Metallic Finish and Inconsistent Pigment Density
I purchased this metallic acrylic paint set expecting strong opacity, vibrant reflective tones, and consistent coverage across all 24 colors. With 60 ml bottles and a focus on rich pigments, I anticipated reliable performance on canvas and mixed media surfaces. Unfortunately, the results were uneven. The most noticeable issue is the metallic effect itself. Several shades lack the reflective depth typically associated with metallic acrylics. Instead of producing a pronounced shimmer, some colors appear flat unless applied in multiple thick layers. This reduces efficiency and increases drying time. Pigment consistency varies from bottle to bottle. A few colors have acceptable density, but others feel diluted and require extensive layering to achieve even moderate coverage. Even after thorough shaking and mixing, separation was visible in certain bottles, indicating inconsistent formulation. Flow and viscosity are also inconsistent. Some paints spread smoothly, while others feel slightly watery or streak-prone. Achieving uniform brush strokes becomes difficult, particularly when working on larger surfaces. While the color range is appealing in theory, the practical performance does not align with the expectations set by the description. For artists who rely on predictable opacity and a true metallic finish, consistency is critical. Well packed and each bottle has an inner replaceable seal to use if there is a long time between uses. Nicely opaque, and dries quickly.

    • Quality is low but read review for a tip
These are ok if you’re ready to paint many coats. There is not much depth to the color. I know there’s a word for it but it goes on very sheer and streaky. But, after many layers, it looks good. Tip: add a bit of cornstarch to the paint and it goes on heavier.
