This review is for the Artis Elite Rose Gold Oval 7 Makeup Brush. I never jumped on the bandwagon a few years ago when the oval brushes became popular. I thought I'd try this one out. I never expected the bristles to feel so luxurious and dense/tight. It puts on BB/CC cream or foundation so flawlessly, I'm kind of amazed. It does it quite quickly too compared to a beauty blender which I'm used to using. The size of the oval 7 brush bristle head is actually quite good. I wouldn't want it bigger because it'd be too big for the face, but it being smaller would be too small for cheeks/forehead. What I didn't really care for is the handle. I almost wish it had a curved back handle on it (similar to a face puff) so I could insert my hand and use it that way. I also felt like I had to put my pointer finger over the neck of the brush because while I was using it, I felt like it would snap or something. Also because it is so dense it does use less makeup. If I use the brush for my foundation and then put on concealer and tried to blend it out, it sort of moves the foundation around too if I press too hard. So I don't really care to use it for concealer, I think a small beauty blender or smaller brush works better. I don't even know how I can talk about the value because honestly the brush is expensive. But it puts on foundation well. Is it worth it to have an air brushed type of finish on your face even if the device you use to do it is expensive? I think everyone's answer to that question can be one or the other due to many factors.

I am a make up fanatic and this brush is a superb addition to my collection. Even my husband was impressed with the unboxing and softness of this brush. So far I have only used it with my powered foundation as I just couldn’t resist diving into to trying this product out. It’s a phenomenal brush for powder foundation. I appreciate the dense synthetic bristles so it would work very well with my liquid foundation too but definitely need to clean it appropriately when sifting between products like that. It’s a small precise oval so I can easilyyyyyy see how this would apply contour and blush with precision. I can also see how it would beautifully blend your highlighter and blush together as well. I can easily see this brush becoming the work horse in my collection. I would easily and happily recommend this brush to any one who has a passion or enthusiasm towards make up. I am just so thrilled and over the moon with the quality of this brush. Outside of functionality it’s also elegantly crafted. The rose gold finish gives it a superior design, look and feel. I would put it right up there with my Tom ford or Sonia G brushes. This is a very well crafted and designed brush that again I couldn’t be more impressed with. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. It is pricey but it’s pricey for a reason. It would be easy to learn and use even if you’re new to make up. Having the right brushes and tools really does transcend your make up application and looks effortlessly to the next level. I’m looking forward to the flawless looks I know I will be able to achieve and create with this brush. I couldn’t be happier or more excited to have this brush in my collection. This is one of the most necessary bushes for anyone from beginning to advanced in the make up community. Absolutely could not recommend this brush more! 💟

This Oval elite brush, in size 7, is a good all-purpose brush for liquid, creams, and powder. While it definitely gets the most use, it excels most with liquid foundations. It’s not as great with creams, especially thicker ones, and sometimes leaves behind striping on your face if you’re not careful. The design is excellent. This has silicone grips on the handle and is otherwise solid metal. There are no visible weak spots. The handle is quite ergonomic, excellent grip, and easy to hold. The silicone ensures that it doesn’t slip on you. The bristles are firm (in that they don’t bend easily) and are silky smooth on your face. This is really one of the softest brushes ever. The bristles are also really resistant to shedding. Keep in mind that the Oval elite brush comes in different sizes. For example, you can go smaller (Oval 7) or larger (Oval 8). I think size 7 is really the perfect size for most people. The Oval 6 is probably better for smaller areas like blush or concealer. If you don’t like the rose gold color, it also comes in different colors too; black, smoke, and mirrored. Rose gold is the newest color option. Also, I know it’s expensive, and this just comes with the 1 brush. There’s nothing else is included. But think of it this way, you’ll be saving money on makeup costs since this brush is just so efficient. And, it feels really good. You can use a brush cleaner for it, or wipe it down with remover wipes, but just remember you have to let it air dry after you clean it otherwise the bristles could get damaged. In summary, amazing brush, a little expensive, but you’ll save a little on makeup costs.
