**update"" I still love this turf rug, it has handled the elements, our great dane, and our 85lb rambunctious golden retriever/springer spaniel mix. Easy to clean - I have had to clean dog poo off of it and it was no problem. I leafblow it regularly to keep the lawn and forest debris off of it. I think it really helps cut down on the amount of dirt and sand the dogs bring inside too! **** 3x5 Turf rug arrived rolled around a heavy duty cardboard tube, wrapped in plastic wrap, and then wrapped in a tarp like material, and inside a box. It immediately laid flat, no creases, mininimal rolling at the edges and what little rolling there is, I know it will flatten quickly. The turf was smoothed/squished to one side and in the pic you can see how part of it is shiny - I used a battery powered leaf blower to fluff up part of it to show the difference. It took maybe 2-3 minutes to fluff it all up by leaf blowing the turf the opposite direction. This is a very nice, thick, realistic looking turf! I'm thinking of ordering larger to cover the entire deck since it's starting to show it's age and needs to be replaced within a few years anyway so I'm not concerned with potential moisture underneath. I live in a humid, subtropical climate so even things that swear breathability trap moisture since it's just not dry enough long enough here. I was worried about shedding but there was barely any! This is well made! I am curious to see if it'll stay in place with my large dogs running in and out of the dog door. I got it to help brush off their paws before could in the house. I'm also curious to see how it holds up but so far I love it. It looks really nice! Soft enough for kids to sit and play on too.

Heavy, high quality faux grass turf/rug. It has a faint smell at first, so I suggest while laying it flat to unravel better, allow it to air out in tghe outdoors. I use it for our catio since our cats like to roll in the grass and we wish for them to be safe indoors from the predators outside. They love it and roll around on it and even sleep there. Pricier, but I feel the quality is worth it.

I liked everything about this product except that the place I had to install it was in full sun. I live in Florida, and it is as hot as black concrete so my dog refuses to step on it. If you have the ability to put it in enough shade to keep it cool then I am sure it will be perfect for you if you are using this for a dog area, but in our case we have to return it and try something different.

At first glance I wanted to immediately return it because it looked like plastic. After it is installed and laid out over a week or so it does change in appearance, not sure if it's the sun and or water to help it come alive but it has darkened to a deeper green and now looks like real grass..
