This artificial turf is very soft on my feet so I totally understand why our dogs like to nap on it after playing hard for an hour or so. It’s thick and pretty cushy and though they haven’t done their “business” on it yet, I know I won’t have to worry because it’s fairly easy to hose off and clean due to the numerous drain holes manufactured in it. It’s their afternoon sleep sanctuary and I’m thrilled with its quality, so I give it two big paws up.

I bought this to use as a rug in the garage. If you were using it on soft ground, it was shipped with anchor stakes for the corners. It did not work well for my purposes. The “grass” was thin and showed much of the black backing. The “grass” shed more than I expected, and it slid around a lot. My star count reflects that I was not using it on dirt as intended. I only gave it 4 stars because of the thin grass and shedding.

We bought this to put under our outdoor swing set. It's held up very well in the elements and it has maintained its nice soft feel underfoot. My daughters enjoy toddling around on it barefoot.

This product arrived tightly rolled. When I first unrolled it, I was not impressed. The black, rubbery backing material has a ribs in it, and the ribs had imprinted into the front of the grass leaving parallel lines. However, after being unrolled overnight, the ribbed pattern disappeared, and the grass looked more natural. From a distance, this does look like very short grass, but up close it is not quite as realistic. It is made of a mat-like material (rather like a sisal or coconut fiber door mat) covered with strands of grass. In the photos, the grass looks dense, but to the eye (especially when looking straight down) it appears less dense. The color is fairly realistic. It's a slightly yellower and a lighter shade of green than my zoysia lawn, but I think the color is pretty good (too dark or too green would have looked fake). In the photographs, the turf looks different colors due to the limitations of my camera. The color in the two shots looking straight down seems more accurate than the side view. Also, the ribs caused by the imprint of the backing are still slightly visible in one shot, but they went away after a few hours. The back is covered with a black, rubbery, ribbed material which provides some cushioning. Also, it seems to be non-slip. I plan to fix the turf down with landscaping garden stakes (like long staples) every foot or so along the edge. It's probably not the approved method, but it is what I have on hand! This product does have a fairly strong, rubbery, chemical smell, so if you plan to use it inside, be prepared for that. It will probably dissipate after a few days. I plan to use to line the pathway where my dogs walk to go in and out of the house from the back yard. I figure that walking over 12 feet of this grass will be a good way for them to wipe their feet, so maybe I will get less dirt in the house. We'll see! I assume I can just hose it down to clean it. There are small drainage holes punched on a grid about 12 inches by 4 inches. Hopefully, they will be enough to stop it from getting waterlogged.

I would say It is not high end quality but good enough to put in your yard under the swing sets or for kids playground. Color is nice and realistic. It is soft and comfortable and looks durable.
