This is my 4th purchase of Artek bluetooth keyboards, but this one is different from someo others in that it's powered by several AA batteries, instead of an onboard battery like the slimmer models. The buldge on the back where the batteries goes means the keyboard isn't truly flat, so it won't fit in my tablet carry case without some effort. However, this means that this model isn't as prone to breakage from bending or pressure, like previous models I've used. They're not flimsy, exactly, but they're so slim it's easy to forget you've got one in your backpack. To be clear, this isn't a huge keyboard, but I prefer the slimmer models. As far as the functionality, it had no problems connecting via bluetooth, and the batteries have lasted quite some time because AA batteries pack a punch. This keyboard only loses stars because I've used those slimmer models, and I know there's a better form factor out there - but if the overall package doesn't matter, and you need a cheap, portable bluetooth keyboard, you could do a lot worse. Get out there and finish this novel, the batteries on this one will probably last for about a hundred thousand words. Probably, I'm only 45,000 words into my current work so we'll see. ... show more

Hi folks, I got this keyboard when my amazon basics keyboard finally died. I got it to be able to type on my iphones. So far it works but, wish it was like my amazon basics keyboard. It is kind of awkward to type on it unless you have a table handy, it is to flimsy to type on a surface that is not solid. It did take a while to connect to my iphone running ios16.5 It connected right way with the phone running ios15.7. I used with my windows laptop, but I am using a screenreader and i would not like to have to use this keyboard with jaws or NVDA. Others may say otherwise. But, just make sure you have the capslock as your modifer key for jaws and NVDA; it will make your life so much easier. ... show more

I'm using this wireless bluetooth keyboard with my iPad. It's a bit flimsy, so type gently bc it bends a bit when you're typing. Also, the bluetooth doesn't connect atomically like a bluetooth mouse. You have to press a connect bottom on the back and switch on the bluetooth bottom on the iPad. Other than these drawbacks, the keyboard is fine and not expensive either. I purchased this keyboard to use with an iPad. While it is worth what I paid for it (light, connected well, no issues) it is loud. I am using it in meetings as I take notes, and it sounds like my fingers are hammer-drilling the keys to the point of distraction to anyone sitting near me. I realize there are user differences here and there are folks who aggressively attack their keyboard like it is the enemy that needs to be destroyed, but I assure you I am using only the most gentle of touch. I will keep it for other home use (versus travel). I am going to buy an alternative for these meetings. If this is an area of concern, I recommend buyers look elsewhere. ... show more

    • Very bad blue tooth connectivity

I have been using this keyboard for about a year and the blue tooth connectivity is pretty bad. I only connect to Windows Surface tablet and it keeps disconnecting many times after the tablet comes back from sleep mode. I tried the following and none of them fixed the issue: - switching off and reconnecting blue tooth - updating the drivers - removing batteries and putting them back - replacing batteries - Switching the keyboard off and switching it back on A few times, it has also totally disappeared from my blue tooth devices and have to reconnect it. I have a Technet blue tooth mouse as well connected to the tablet but it does not have this connectivity issue which makes me believe that the Arteck keyboard has a problem. My fix is to remove the device from my bluetooth and reconnect it or restarting the tablet fixes the issue but there are not tenable solutions. ... show more
