Even though the panels where packaged well, there 4 panels were damaged. especially on top of the panels but managed to hide them during installation. speaking of installation - because the panels do not have flat surface on the back, I had to use adhesive on most of the high point of the 3D on the back. I spray painted them with blue metallic paint and actually hot glued them to the existing tile in our basement bar area. I wanted the illusion of waves to go with my flamingo theme. So much better than spending $400 to have the old tile removed and new tile put in.

These panels are so pretty in person. Large panels generally look a lot more elegant if you can fit it in. I had no issues cutting them to size or making cutouts for power outlets. I used a sheet metal cutter scissor thing I had - I use this to cut the thin metal stems from fake florals with and it cut like butter, super smooth and clean cuts (to cut from the edge, not in the middle of panel or anything, I needed the cut to start from edge). I used regular double sided tape along all the edges. I actually wanted to paint them in pastel pink but the paint would not eat into the plastic panels at all. Well, California paint is so strict about organic compounds and are so soft, that may be a reason but not sure. It just looks bad with paint. Panels are thin and light and so far it hasn't fallen off the wall. I used four panels for my desk setup pictured here. Lighting looks so good on these panels as the light bounces off them and really glows it up. ... show more

Got this to try to hide my stereo and speakers from standing out so much hoping to hide them in plain sight. I had previously not had experience with large pvc panels like this so cutting to size is important and I don’t recommend a rotary tool/grinder, the fine dust is probably gonna kill me later (joking) I then tried tin snips which was ok, but settled on an oscillating cutter which I think worked best, especially for around outlets. I would also recommend using outlet extension of 3/4 with black face new black plugs so the outlet blends in. I used gorilla construction adhesive which brings me to the next lesson i learned is painters tape is your friend! Invest in some good quality wide masking tape as this size is too heavy for the adhesive to hold it initially and you need tape or something to hold it for about 6 hours until it tacks up enough to hold on its own, I found 8 hours and it would not go anywhere, I took the packing elbows made of the same PVC to Home Depot and paint matched in a quart and then painted 1 inch above and below giving me a nice channel to place LED lights later on for dramatic lighting as well as all the joints since the adhesive is white and squirts through the joints, I just painted right over the joints with and voila it was invisible. One last word of warning, this being a large sheet of PVC and being black it absorbs heat I had inadvertently left one panel leaned against a window and it took full sun for about 3 hours and when I grabbed it, it was quite warm but worse it was warped. So I would NOT recommend placing in some area where it takes a lot of direct sun as I think warping could be an issue but due to the texture probably wouldn’t be too visible. Good luck! ... show more
