Despite so many negative reviews, I went ahead and bought this anyway because it was exactly what I was looking for. It works for what I need it to (kids art at home), but there are some flaws. We've already had a few of the racks break as they are very flimsy. Also the holes for the racks are spaced evenly, but when you put the racks in, they aren't evenly spaced because some of the racks are bent. When I tried to gently even one out, it broke, so I'm not even messing with the other ones. Lastly, the wheel locks don't work well.

This is a very nice rack for holding your paintings giving them the time to dry without having to take up much space. Somewhat sturdy, easy to assemble I did not use all the shelve leaving a little more space in between each layer, but I can always just place them in if I need them. It is easy to move around.

This rack is decent for the price, especially when you look at how expensive drying stands can be. The metal frame itself is pretty sturdy and it was genuinely easy and quick to assemble, which other reviewers mentioned too. The compact size is great for studios or classrooms where space is limited, and the lockable wheels are handy for moving it out of the way. However, the quality issue is definitely in the shelves. They are simply too flimsy to handle anything substantial. I wouldn't recommend using this rack for anything heavier than lightweight canvas panels or drawings on paper. If you try to put a few pounds on a shelf, especially toward the front, you'll see it start to sag right away. To put the shelf wire thickness in perspective, I honestly think the wire used in baskets from a dollar store or a budget kitchen organizer is thicker than what's used here. The claims about it holding up to two pounds per shelf seem wildly optimistic, and you should plan for just one piece of wet art per shelf to be safe. It gets four stars because it succeeds at its low-cost function. It provides 25 separate, space-saving drying slots for paper and light media. Just temper your expectations about its durability and weight capacity. If you need it for heavy canvases or ceramic pieces, you should invest in something higher quality.
