  • Sturdy once built
Sturdy once constructed. Took approximately 10 hours of work. Some small parts. Not for the novice. In addition to the tools needed in the instructions you will also need needle nose plyers; electric drill and an electric screwdriver would be very useful. Some of the pre-drilled holes do not line up and are 1/16" to 1/8th" off and require some work to properly align them. Some portions are not predrilled and will require drilling pilot holes. Some nuts and bolt locations will require the use of a needle nose plyer and electric screwdriver to install as they cannot be reached with your fingers. For the front doors to properly close the unit needs to be squared otherwise the doors will be out of align and difficult to close. The manufacturer coated the exterior struts with a plastic file to protect the paint, but it is difficult to remove. Packaging of the metal side panels could be improved; the panels move end to end in the package during shipping and several of the corners were slightly bent out of shape and required straightening. three or four of the pre-drilled holes were snapped. It was a little frustrating to construct but overall am satisfied with the final results once completed. I recommend the manufacturer/seller pull one at random from the assembly line and build it themselves, if done they might make some changes in the packaging and the shed. ... show more

  • bolt it to the floor
1/ the box arrived a couple of days earlier than expected. 2/ the box was in dismal state, and a few pieces were scratched and bent out of shape. some padding materials was shredded into pieces, and the manual was in bad shape. 3/ looking at the parts and realizing how thin this thing is, I went ahead and bought 1/2" pressure treated plywood board (measures 34 1/2 x 63 3/4) and bolted the base to a leveled base of concrete blocks. 4/ I was able to build it singlehanded, but for sure you're better off with some helping hand, especially in the initial wall install and screwing in the top. 5/ the instructions are overall ok. there were a couple of things I had to figure out by reading ahead - always good to do with long building.. you don't want to go back and dismantle. 6/ some places I used nylon washers on both ends. I suggest doing the same. get around 50 extra nylon #8 washers. 7/ putty knife comes handy to fit walls into fixtures, as does a 7mm nut ratchet. 8/ the other reviews lament about how long and difficult it is to build. it is noted in the product summary.. if you don't think you can deal with 4 hours of build time and over 200 screws, this is not for you.. but if you don't read the product summary, it's on you.. overall, I think it will do the job, and at a distance it looks pretty nice (till you come closer and see the scratches and dents). feels sturdy enough, in large part, I assume, due to the floor bolting. ... show more

  • Fragile and too expensive for what you get
I can't recommend this very highly. If it were half the price, it would be worth it, but there must be better sheds in this price range. 1) The steel is very thin and light, and the screw fasteners included don't hold pieces together very well. My overall impression of the finished shed is, it's fragile and I shouldn't use it much for fear of it coming apart. 2) One person can assemble it, but it's time consuming and difficult. Easier with two people - one to hold pieces together and the other to fasten them. 3) It's hilarious that the two front doors lock together, but the lid just lifts open. So if you're worried about anything inside being stolen, this is not the shed for you. 4) The lightweight material and design makes me think this is NOT good for outside. I don't believe it would stand a medium wind. I am using it inside my garage so I don't have that worry. I think this should only be used in a place where it's protected from weather. 5) The manual that came with it is so poorly printed that you can't see certain parts or methods of assembly (see photo). Do yourself a favor and download the PDF of the manual (search online, it's the STB63 manual) then print it yourself. 6) There is a major flaw either with the printed manual (p.22) or the labeling of pieces. If you do get this, please check pieces Lj-9a and Lj-9 before you start securing them. BE VERY CAREFUL. When I assembled according to the labels and the manual, they ended up backwards, so I had to remove them and swap them so they would work. If you are keeping things inside the shed as long-term storage, rather than accessing them regularly to use them, and if you are keeping the shed itself protected from the weather, then it should work. Set it up and leave it alone. But if you are going to put tools inside, or otherwise use it in a way that you are regularly opening & closing the doors, then this is not the shed for you. If you will be setting up a shed outdoors where there is wind of almost any amount, then this is not the shed for you. There are higher quality sheds for this price. ... show more

  • An absolute nightmare to assemble
And absolute nightmare to assemble… spent half a day. Lots of details and absolutely stupid instruction.

  • What do you do if you can’t read the manual?
Directions were very difficult to read, impossible job for one person to complete. Need better packaging of screws, bolts and nuts. It took two days to complete with another person helping.

  • Had we know about if work to put it together, probably wouldn’t have purchased it.
Too many parts and pieces... big project to put it together; pretty thin ( hoping that it will hold up in 30 mile winds); unsure if will rust or not. Still putting it together.

  • DANGEROUS DO NOT BUY THIS
This arrived and took way more then 4 hours to assemble. The metal is so flimsy it just bends when you touch it. And it is so thin that it is like a razor blade and you cut yourself if you are not very careful. The walls do not all slight and if you walk past it quickly when assembled it can cut you it catch your clothing. It is also so light weight that I wouldn’t be surprised if it blew over in a windstorm. And don’t beep anything of value in it as it is very easily lifted up even by my 8 year old son. WHY WOULD ANY ONE WANT SOMETHING LIKE THIS? Save your money, time and the pain from injury and buy something else. ... show more
