This is a lightweight tool box. If you need solid security you'll have to spend more. Even then thieves can always find a way. It worked well for my purposes. I cut 2 pieces of 3/8 ply to reinforce bottom, since it's straddled over a wide trailer V tongue. All good for straps, basic tools and such.

At the price, it’s hard to complain. These boxes are reasonably well made. The aluminum is thick enough to seem sturdy. The kids close right. The latches are nice. I didn’t like the hinges all that much. They seem a bit lacking. But I think they will be fine. My only real gripe is that I had to adjust both latches for the lids to close fully. It was easy. Common sense got it done. It didn’t take any complicated instructions. But the fact that a brand new box came that way kinda frustrated me. Still, they are worth the buy and I expect to get many years of service from them. ... show more

Arrived early with no defects. The storage box is sturdy and secures well. Depending on the weight of items to be stored in the box, it might be a good idea to re-enforce the bottom with 1/4 plywood. I'm going to. After all it is "Heavy Duty Aluminum". Other than that, I'm pleased with the purchase.
