  • Exactly what I wanted
Size: 8 Color: Copper Kettle
These boots fit perfectly, they are cute, sturdy, comfortable, and well-made. Wore them horseback riding and was worried they wouldn't fit in the stirrup based on what another review said, but I had no issues. Got lots of compliments. Got them muddy and had no leaks and rinsed them off, no problem.

  • This Vintage Disco Queen Took A Walk On the Cowgirl Side & Now Her Feet Are Riding Fatbaby(s) ;-)
Love these boots! Actually, I live in the northeast and resemble a cowgirl about as much as disco music resembles country music....you can see the similarities, right? This is my second pair of Fatbaby Boots. The first pair were purchased on a whim "gently used" from a seller on that most popular auction website that Ends in BAY. At the time I was looking for a sturdy boot to trudge through the icy, sloppy, new England winter in, not looking specifically for a "cowgirl" boot, but the price was unbeatable and I was curious. Here it is 2yrs later and it can be said that these boots are unbeatable and are still handsome to boot! They have been worn 5 out of 7 days per week for 3 seasons each year (would have been 4 seasons if I was 40yrs younger!). Most of my other boots and shoes are an 8.5 or euro 39. The Fatbaby boots I purchased on the auction website were an 8 and I was a little skeptical about the fit because I normally wear a size 8.5 shoe and can even go to a size 9 in a boot with thick socks on my feet. I have average width feet, not wide or narrow; I have a high arch and instep as well as a hammertoe on my left foot. (TMI?). However, the size 8 was perfect! So, I purchased these new Fatbaby Cowgirl boots in an 8, mostly because they were $20 less than the size 8.5 which I likely would have bought if the prices were the same. Once again, the size 8 fits perfectly right from the start, even in a brand new boot! These fit like a shoe approved by the American Orthopedic Association but look as fashionable (Wild?) as the Cowgirls that I imagine they were intended for! I wear these boots with medium weight wool blend socks. There is plenty of room for all my toes and there is no pressure across the top of my high instep or at the front of the boot across the ankle. I can not feel any of the seams or stitching the way other reviewers have written that they can. The back of the heel sometimes moves but does not rub or bind. The footbed is not like walking on a cloud. It is firm but comfortable and very supportive. The innersole is removeable and I can fit the semirigid type orthotics inside very comfortably if I choose to, but find orthotics are not necessary because the boot is very supportive in and of itself. The nonskid sole is not lugged and is not as thick as my first pair of Fatbaby Boots (which show absolutely no wear on the tread) but it does seem to be more than adequate. The shaft is soft and supple, not thick and rigid, fabric lined inside and suedelike finish outside. The height is just right on my leg under wool, corduroy, or denim pants. (I'm 5'6" and weigh about 140 lbs, size 10) The decorative stitching is lovely, the workmanship is high quality. The top opening is very roomy on me but I do have thinner than average calves. (Like I said, I'm no cowgirl) Great fit, Great fashion, Great performance, great price! These may be my second pair of Fatbaby Boots but I'm sure they will not be my last. Go ahead....take a walk on the Cowgirl side! ... show more

These boots are way more comfortable than I expected. They fit really well and I get a lot of compliments on them. I wear them with leggings or a skirt. I think they were a great buy! Great price!

  • Some issues, still keeping
Purchased the powder brown boot. Similar to other reviews they fit differently from other ariat fatbabies I own (slightly less comfortable, can only be due to inconsistencies in manufacturing). Size.Fit - I wear an 8.5-9 in most shoes and went with the 9. The heel cup is a bit loose but I'm not walking out of them or anything. Fits snugly around the arch so be aware if you have wider feet or high arches. Toe box is roomy and the boots are a bit long because I went with the upper range of my size due to having wider feet. Support in the footbed is great - except - the cushioning in one foot is not matched to the cushioning in the other but I'm sure they'll break in over time. Appearance - The color is also quite a bit darker and more dull than the picture shows, I was expecting a vibrant teal stitching but these are more subdued. The leather part is darker and already came with a few scuffs. The top part is a suede which is slightly off in color than the leather, more of a rusty shade of brown. The top part is also pretty floppy/flimsy and came bent out of shape out of the box due to poor packaging (came in a bag not a box, disappointed in my shoes arriving crushed). Overall I still like the way they look over other patterns and colors. ... show more

  • Hard worker
Size: 9.5 Color: Copper Kettle
I love these boots! I have a working pair and a dressier pair and I love wearing them both. As work boots, these are tough, durable and comfortable.

  • Love em. Stop wasting time, buy them now
Size: 8 Color: Black Deertan
This is my second pair of FatBaby boots because I LOVE FatBaby boots. Not only are they comfortable but they are stylish. Now I'm no cowgirl so I didn't buy them to wear mucking stalls or to look good while riding my horse. I simply bought them because I needed a black pair and they look great with both my Blue Jeans and my Skinny Jeans. Because I have a narrow foot with a high arch and my feet tend to start aching mid way through the day, no matter what type of shoe I wear, I put insoles in all of my shoes. However, when I put my insoles in these boots the top of my foot rubbed on the top of the boot making it very uncomfortable. However, without the insoles the boots are too roomy, my feet flop around and I have no arch support. But I figured out that if I wear two pairs of socks there is not as much flop room and I can comfortably wear and walk in the boots most of the day. This can be a little inconvenient in the summer months but I've heard somewhere that sometimes you have to suffer for beauty, and I personally feel the sweaty feet are worth how good I look in the boots, call me shallow if you will, I don't care. My favorite thing about these boots are how great they look on me. I can't wait until I get my next pair. ... show more
