  • You can't ask for more, for the money...great boot!
First-off, I'd like to express how funny I think folks on here are, with putting what is clearly a ton of foot-miles/hours on a pair of work-boots, and then trying to scam a set of replacements. Idiots that do that are why the rest of us have to keep paying more and more, but, if you're that petty...I laugh at you, where we ALL should be upset. No-one abuses a set of boots more than myself...I build custom trailers, which means I kick steel, weld and expose my boots to ALL of the inherent abuse typical of a fabrication shop. I also forge custom knives on the weekends...these boots get molten-steel, slag, tend to farm animals, and oh-yeah...are worn regular for off-roading. All this, and the last pair lasted easily 2 years, AND I could have pushed them farther, but they were looking real ratty, so on cosmetics alone, I parked them. This new pair are exactly like the last, save for not being broken-in. I know from experience that once I get a few weeks on them, they will feel more like an extreme high-top, pull-on sneaker, than a work-boot. The only other pair of boots that have felt this great, out of the box, is my Rocky S2V Tac boots. Are they the very best you can buy?...all subjective. But like everything else in life, if it's man-made, there will be examples that are genuinely flawed, and for those folks whose number came up, I apologize for my above criticism. All that said, these boots are worth every penny. I'm not a boot expert but, I'm 60 years old and have worked hard my entire life, and believe me when I tell you, I've had some turd-boots on my feet in those years...some, even made by big/popular brands, that beat my feet up, and didn't last half as long. Add to that I'm diabetic, and my feet are super sensitive to hard-points, pressure and abrasion...these things pass with flying colors. Add to that, I have a size 14 foot, and it's very difficult to get a proper boot in those larger sizes, which leads me to this next comment...definitely consider a size smaller than you normally wear; folks mention that, and it's a fact...at least, with the square toe. I can't attest to the others. I went with the 13 wide and I can easily, comfortably, wear a pair of insulated socks in these. Buy them. I hope they don't change a thing with these boots, as I figure I have about another 15 years of hard labor left in me...that equates to about another 7.5 pair of these, at this rate. About once every 6 months I clean them real well, and re-treat the entire boot. And people, if you're in a high-abuse environment, such as most construction, fab-shops and the like, a couple years out of a pair of boots is MORE than you should expect, no matter how much you spend. I guess if you just wear these to church on Sunday, and they let go at a year, maybe you have something to complain about. ... show more

  • Best boots ever!
I have bought a pair and been wearing them since 2017. They have lasted me forever and still going strong. I have not been easy on them by any means. If there on I’m likely doing work and not on concrete floors. Mud and water dust and dirt gravel you name it. The soles still have traction on them and the leather has no holes. I have replaced the insoles 3 times. All the stitching is still hanging on. I’ve been through many pairs of boots in the past and these just don’t quit. Inflation hasn’t seemed to affect the price to much either I paid $149 for them in 2017. Just felt like after wearing them all day again I should probably leave a review about them. Don’t hesitate buy the boots, I will if mine ever give out. ... show more

  • Please understand these are not steel toed boots
I bought these for work. In the banner at the top of the page it says “work hog, steel toed.” That is not the case. Maybe it says that somewhere else on the page but at the top it said they’re steel. I searched and found these under steel toed as well. Anyway, as it stands these boots were incredibly nice and comfortable. I bought the cream ones and dang did they look beautiful. I however had to return them. Depending on how quick the return is processed and how quick I can reorder some Ariats with steel toes, I’ll rate the 5 stars. The boots themselves were awesome. Just misleading when it says they’re something that they’re not. Especially for people who cannot afford nice boots often, and who need them for work. I now have to wait another week or more for new boots and will have to continue wearing my busted Tony Lamas with holes in them. Disappointed but the product itself was incredible ... show more

  • this is my 3rd pair.
Size: 9 Color: Dark Earth
I have had 3 pairs of these boots over the years, They are great boots and comfortable. just made sure you get a half size smaller than what you normally wear becasue they do tend to streach once broken in. Also, make sure you seal them up good with some mink oil before you get them wet. otherwise, the leather will absorb the water and start to stink. The soles are the best I've found. ... show more

  • Great boot, good fit, looks good, I have no complaints!
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Dark Earth
Love this boot! In my current job I walk on an average of 3000 steps a day and some time 6000 steps (my iPhone tells me this) with no problems. I recently took a scout trip in 25degree weather and walked a 4 mile trail that morning with no problems. In very cold weather the sole seems to freeze or not want to bend very easily. This boot took about 2weeks to really notice a difference in the breakin. I had to send the first pare back because it was a little big. I normally wear 12.5 or 13's size shoe but ended up getting 11.5 size boots. Ended up going to a local store and try in a pare of boots to get in the ballpark of size. This boot seems to be the boot I will have for many years of use. Easy to put on and take off. No complaints. Updated: still working fine and have no problems. I have been in snow and rain and mud with no wet feet or socks. The mesh on the heel of the boot to make the easy off easy on function work is the only way for water to get in. That is about 5in above the heel. ... show more
