  • Great quality, lightweight and durable
Size: 8.5 Color: Madison Avenue
Love them! Comfortable from day one, no break-in necessary. Light weight soles, great for everyday wear. I bought them to work in but now I want to wear them all the time. True to size, I ordered a half size up so I could wear thick wool socks with them in the winter and they’re perfect. When wearing normal socks the heel can feel a little loose but I anticipated that. ... show more

  • Exactly right!!!
Size: 5.5 Color: Royal Chocolate/Fudge
These bison leather booties arrived well packaged and brand new. This pair is a solid peace of craftsmanship. I felt the quality immediately while opening the box. They fit perfectly and were downright comfortable straight out of the box. I was betwixt and between about buying these and put in a good bit of research. In the end, I'm so glad I went ahead and pulled the trigger because these are such good quality and I can see they will last me years as long as I take care of them. I will plan to come back in a few months with updates on sustained comfortability, but for now, after a week or so, the booties are so easy on my feet especially because of the good cushioning on the soles. I like the low rise for my purposes (working in the yard and prairie). The semi-wide ankle shafts are especially good for me because that helps keep my ankles from growing weak over time by relying on boot shaft support. Of course that means I have to use care when placing my foot down, but it's an okay trade-off for my usage purposes. If this pair maintains its comfortability over time I may look into Ariat's safety toed options for industrial work. Good quality workboots are hard to come by these days. Nice looking, good quality workbooks are even more rare. I love that I found these. My feet are narrow with regular arches and narrow ankles. ... show more

  • Comfortable, very pretty and fast ship
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Wicker/Walnut
Beautifully comfortable as well as very pretty. The wide width is perfect! More room than I am used to, AND will help while I am corrective barefoot trimming out there. In the past 3 months my feet have been stepped on at least 5 times. Fast ship, boots were NOT packed in a different box than manufacturers box and I requested it would be, but Amazon delivery hid the package well. I am happy. I am adding mink oil to protect the seems from stretching and ripping right now! ... show more

  • Definitely Need to Break Them In/Tight, But I Like Them
Size: 8 Color: Black Deertan
Never owned any sort of work/country boot before so I'm assuming I just needed to work them in. They fit perfectly once I finally got my foot in it. I wear an 8 and it fits true to size. My only grievance is that it is super tight on the top of your foot that trying to get your foot to slide in took me forever and I had to literally muscle the hell out of it pulling them up by the straps and by the end I was sweating. I noticed it scraped the top of my foot and my foot was red after taking them off because they are super tight around that area. Again, I'm a novelist with this brand and style of boot. The heel part where you can feel the edges was also tight at first and I could feel the edge on my heel like the boot was too small but once you work them in they are fine. I wore these for two days straight for over 12 hours while on vacation and I finally broke them in. Be patient and trust they'll eventually go on easily and won't feel like work putting them on. ... show more

  • GREAT but slippery
Size: 6.5 Wide Color: Wicker/Walnut
I LOVE these boots - It's the second pair I own because they are super comfy and really pretty. I get a lot of compliments about them My only regret is that I can't wear them when it's raining because the sole is flat and therefore too slippery if the ground is wet. I almost fell down many times and fell down a couple of times because the boots were slippery. Beside this, they are awesome. ... show more

  • This Vintage Disco Queen Took A Walk On the Cowgirl Side & Now Her Feet Are Riding Fatbaby(s) ;-)
Love these boots! Actually, I live in the northeast and resemble a cowgirl about as much as disco music resembles country music....you can see the similarities, right? This is my second pair of Fatbaby Boots. The first pair were purchased on a whim "gently used" from a seller on that most popular auction website that Ends in BAY. At the time I was looking for a sturdy boot to trudge through the icy, sloppy, new England winter in, not looking specifically for a "cowgirl" boot, but the price was unbeatable and I was curious. Here it is 2yrs later and it can be said that these boots are unbeatable and are still handsome to boot! They have been worn 5 out of 7 days per week for 3 seasons each year (would have been 4 seasons if I was 40yrs younger!). Most of my other boots and shoes are an 8.5 or euro 39. The Fatbaby boots I purchased on the auction website were an 8 and I was a little skeptical about the fit because I normally wear a size 8.5 shoe and can even go to a size 9 in a boot with thick socks on my feet. I have average width feet, not wide or narrow; I have a high arch and instep as well as a hammertoe on my left foot. (TMI?). However, the size 8 was perfect! So, I purchased these new Fatbaby Cowgirl boots in an 8, mostly because they were $20 less than the size 8.5 which I likely would have bought if the prices were the same. Once again, the size 8 fits perfectly right from the start, even in a brand new boot! These fit like a shoe approved by the American Orthopedic Association but look as fashionable (Wild?) as the Cowgirls that I imagine they were intended for! I wear these boots with medium weight wool blend socks. There is plenty of room for all my toes and there is no pressure across the top of my high instep or at the front of the boot across the ankle. I can not feel any of the seams or stitching the way other reviewers have written that they can. The back of the heel sometimes moves but does not rub or bind. The footbed is not like walking on a cloud. It is firm but comfortable and very supportive. The innersole is removeable and I can fit the semirigid type orthotics inside very comfortably if I choose to, but find orthotics are not necessary because the boot is very supportive in and of itself. The nonskid sole is not lugged and is not as thick as my first pair of Fatbaby Boots (which show absolutely no wear on the tread) but it does seem to be more than adequate. The shaft is soft and supple, not thick and rigid, fabric lined inside and suedelike finish outside. The height is just right on my leg under wool, corduroy, or denim pants. (I'm 5'6" and weigh about 140 lbs, size 10) The decorative stitching is lovely, the workmanship is high quality. The top opening is very roomy on me but I do have thinner than average calves. (Like I said, I'm no cowgirl) Great fit, Great fashion, Great performance, great price! These may be my second pair of Fatbaby Boots but I'm sure they will not be my last. Go ahead....take a walk on the Cowgirl side! ... show more

  • These boots are amazing!
Size: 8.5 Color: Black Deertan
Most comfy boots I own. I wear them every day. I love all my Ariat boots, but these are really the best ones. They do not acquire foot odor. They are durable with the thicker rubber heel. They are great for winter because they have a deep tread. They easily polish back to new. Love them!
