My microphone has a non-standard mount so I did a lot of searching for something that might work. This design is great, sturdy, and priced right. I didn't use the enclosed mic mount but used a 3M adhesive backed metal hook instead. This is temporary as the adhesive won't stand the summer heat. I will probably make a small metal bracket to mount into the existing holes that will allow me to move my microphone farther to the right as well as clip on a hand-held transmitter. Easy to install. Just loosen the 10mm bolt holding the panic bar and slide the bracket down the back. The two holes in the bracket align with protruding tabs next to the bolt. Again, great design...

Easy to install, great fitment. Only reason for 4 stars is it came with two wood screws instead of little bolts with washers and nuts to secure the clip to the plate. The two pieces are metal and require bolting. Easy few dollar fix at the local hardware store with two 8/32 by 1/2" long screws, two flat washers and two 8/32 lock nuts. Install tip, make sure the plate is pushed straight up as far as it will go while tightening the one bolt otherwise the trim plate that clips over may not clip in all the way. You'll see what I mean depending on your setup. Otherwise, this is perfect and will last the life of the truck. The heavy duty clip works great with the Midland MXT575 speaker mic.

You have to remove the controls cluster with an interior removal tool (basically a plastic pry bar). It pops off easy, just make sure you put the ignition side in first when you pop it back on. The part fits good and is held on by the screw from the dash bar. I had to slightly bend my back so the Midland handset wouldn't rub on the dashboard.

Was excited to have this mic holder mount for my new Midland GMRS I just installed. I took it out of the package and first saw the edge paint had chipped off. I thought no problem, I have a rattle can. I can just touch it up. After looking closer, I saw the chipped area was rusted. Weird, but not bad, I can just sand. The paint is rust seal and prevention so should be good. Looked at the back of the plate, and there is a very large patch of rust bubbling up under the paint. That pushed me to return it. I just wanted to throw this on, not spend extra time fixing a manufacturing defect.

Much easier to install than the previous product I had on my gladiator. When I traded it in I knew I wanted something easier to install that was just as sturdy and this product delivered. Install was easy, maybe 5 minutes? The design is solid and held in place by the OEM handle and plastics, would recommend!

The media could not be loaded. Product was super easy to install all you need is the items that are pictured. A 10 mm socket and a plastic trim removal tool. It took less than 10 minutes to install this. I don’t know what all the complaints are except operator error, possibly. As you can see by the finished install it looks great and very sturdy
