Description

Season after season, the 1800 Arctix Women's Insulated Snow Pants serve as an outstanding value priced ski/snow pants and a versatile cornerstone of the Arctix line. These pants feature a 100% Polyester Dobby shell with ThermaLock W/R + W/P 3000mm Coating, offering a maximum degree of durability and protection from the elements, while allowing a full range of motion. 85 grams ThermaTech Insulation offers warmth in a lightweight, low bulk garment, keeping you warm at temperatures from -20° to +35° depending on your level of activity. DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent) helps repel water from fabric surface. The adjustable waist ensures a comfortable fit, while boot zippers make them easy for on and off access over boots. Boot gaiters with grippers form a seamless integration with the boots to keep the warmth in, and the moisture out. These relaxed fit pants also include 600 Denier Ballistic reinforced ankle, scuff and hem guards to hold up against daily wear & tear, and conveniently has an O-ring for keys, gloves and/or lift tickets. The pants provide zippered hand warmer style pockets, a zippered fly, and belt loops. They are water and wind resistant, and are machine washable. Sizing options include a Short 29" inseam (5'1" – 5'4" heights), Regular 31" inseam (5'5" – 5'8"), and Tall 33" inseam (5'9" – 6'1").

I bought these because I wanted something that would stand out on the mountain with a black coat and I was a big fan of the color. I was reluctant because I have always worn TNF but I wasn’t really into any of their current colors. For $40 I was willing to roll the dice. I’m 5’8” and around 155 lbs with an athletic build and a mom stomach. The test: I took these to Vail and Beaver Creek for intermediate level skiing. While I was there, we experienced cooler than normal conditions and wind. So. Much. Wind. The wind was 30 miles an hour with 60 mph gusts. We had white out conditions several times. The pros: I was never cold wearing these. Seriously. Not once. I layered the pants with fleece lined leggings and wool ski socks. That was it. I was pleasantly surprised by how well these worked. These held up to name brand pants that are 3x the price. The cons: The color I received was a little bit darker than the picture, with more purple undertones than the hot pink color the picture displays. It wasn’t completely off, but I felt it was noteworthy. I ordered a medium, regular length. The pants were snug and I would recommend sizing up. They weren’t so small that I couldn’t wear them to ski, but I think the large would have been more comfortable- especially sitting (on a chair lift) and bending over to put on boots. I have long legs for my height and the length fit perfectly. All in all, the cons were so minor that I would highly recommend these pants. They absolutely passed the extreme conditions test and they come in lots of fun colors. ... show more

LOVED these pants! I needed a pair that was waterproof and windproof and these snow pants were perfect for my trip to Iceland. I wore thermal pants underneath and these have a lining that I tucked into my boots and the outside pant was wide enough to slide over the outside of my boot. Added a nice warm layer to my ankles in the bitter frigid temps. Very much waterproof and the water from snow, ice, rain and waterfalls just beaded off without being absorbed. No wind got in either! They are heavy and bulky but I was comfortable for days wearing these! I could still bend and sit. They don’t have a buckle belt, it’s a sans a belt (Velcro straps that adjust the waist). That was kind of annoying but I bought a size that was half size bigger than what I needed. Otherwise, the zipper and latch at the button was easy to open and close for removal. I love these pants however one of the snap/hook closures fell off at the beginning of my second wear, so the zipper slides down. I am a size 4-6 & bought a medium, so they are not too tight. Temps were from 7 F to 42 F during my 3 days of skiing. I wore silk long underwear & a smart wool long underwear under these pants. The elastic liner over the boots is great! My legs (& bootie) were only cold on the first run as the Lyft had snow on it. Great pants & for the price & definitely worth it if you’re an intermittent skier. Of note, I’m not a snow boarder, so not sure if the snaps or warmth will be enough w/ all of that up/down & sitting w/ riding a board. Off to the seamstress to fix the snaps - keeping these :) ... show more

Very warm in Temps ranging from -7° & windchill around -25°. I used a basic base layers pant underneath & never got cold. They are high waisted which added a little more warmth for the midsection. They were comfy & easy to move around in. Used them for skiing, snowmobiling, snow tubing and just to play around. I never felt wind through them (in blizzard conditions on 2 days) never felt cold or wet & at some points I was in snow up to me knees! We're from Texas so we're definitely not used to this kind of cold, very impressed that we stayed warm! I purchased 2 pair of these both size small but the first pair I ordered regular length the second pair I went with short because they were for my daughter & she's about 5'3ish. I am 5'4 and the regular worked perfect for me. We are both 122-125lbs. Size small was perfect for us both. I did notice that on her short length ones the bottom leg had snaps while my regular length had zippers. I preferred the zippers. I didn't notice in the description a difference as I ordered the exact same pant but a different length I figured they would be the exact same pant just shorter LOL It wasn't a problem and may have mentioned it in the description, I'm not sure, again not a problem just wanted to mention it in case it would be a problem for anyone else. Bought these pants for skiing, and they did well. They are waterproof. They are a nice material to help keep you warm, but also they aren't super bulky. The pants have an average fit. Meaning they aren't too tight, and aren't too baggy. you can comfortably get a pair of thick sweatpants underneath, and still be comfortable on the slopes. If you are a little curvy, then you can expect the pants to fit a little tighter, but still comfortable. The length of the pants was accurate to the description. ... show more

These are my go to for the winter weather. I work on a farm and they are lifesavers in the cold weather (20 degrees and below) I pair them with just a pair of simple leggings and are good to go. They didn’t get 5 stars because of craftsmanship. Within the first week the hook closures snapped right off, and after having them for just 4 months the inside seams are ripping wide open from hip to knee. So these pants didn't come in time for our snow trip so I ended up returning them. I really thought about keeping them as well as well as the back up ones I ordered. Love the color of the pants a bright coral color and the fabric is thick and sturdy. They were a comfortable fit and like I said I went back and forth on keeping them or returning them.
