My wife and I took an anniversary trip to Breckenridge and, having not skied in 30 years, I didn’t want to spend a ton on ski pants for a handful of runs. I opted for these because they had decent reviews and seemed sturdy enough - I figured if I got a day or two out of them, I’d be happy. Well, they definitely performed very well. Plenty of range of movement, warmth (with an Under Armour coldgear base layer), and sturdy enough to weather lifts and a fall (just one!), made these pants a winner on my book. Pockets hold everything you need. Pants are solidly waterproof. Everything you would want in a ski pant is right here! One important note: I’m 6’, 235 lbs, with around a 38” waist and the XL was a tad loose on me. The elastic Velcro tightening straps on either side helped, but the Velcro isn’t long enough to cinch up the waist where I would want it. The pants do have belt loops, though, and probably would work with suspenders. I didn’t have any trouble with them slipping below my butt on the slopes, though. ... show more

I bought these with some hesitation given some of the reviews which showed rips the seams, however, mine were well constructed and I'm quite happy with these ski pants. - They fit well over the ski boots. The inner layer is stretchy with grippy like material and a hook to make sure they secure over the boot snugly. Zippers on the outer layer also allow you fit over the boot very easily. - As far a noise, they do make a little noise when walking but wasn't an issue at all for me. Wore them out and about to dinner afterwards without any concern. - Has vents on the inner thighs in case you get hot - I normally were 32x32 and ordered a medium (I'm 6'1", 185lbs) . Didn't wear anything else underneath and needed to adjust the waist tabs to their smallest setting and wear a belt. Length was great, if slightly long when wearing regular shoes. - Laid in the snow a few times at end of the run and had no issues at all with them getting wet Looking forward to my next trip back to the slopes with these. ... show more

This is a hard review to write so I will try to be fair. The first pair I ordered were L which was the size for my body size according to the chart, however they were significantly too small. I exchanged them for XL and they fit quite well. On the good points, these pants are excellent value for the money, the material is good quality the construction is pretty decent and the poppers, velcro and zips work well to fasten them on. They are also very good in serious cold weather (-19F) and keep you warm and wind tight even in 20mph artic winds. However on the negative side I bought these for walking my dog and when I blow the snow from around my house. The pair they replaced were also for snowboarding or snow sports but the pant ends unzipped completely. If you just want them to go over your boots after you put them on, then these are excellent as they will do that and having the folded guzzet of material behind the zip in the pant leg will make them more air tight and water/snow tight. However you cannot put them on without taking off your boots because of that feature. On the bizarre side I cannot fathom why anyone would want venting slots with zippers on the inner thighs, all this does in make for something to open when you don't want it open or to go wrong and to add needlessly to the manufacturing cost. Overall I am very pleased with these pants and as long as you don't mind putting them on before your boots or don't mind taking off your boots to put them on then these will work for you but I would recommend a size up from whatever the chart says. ... show more

I ordered these for a hike I just returned from. They came in the day before I left. I tried them on to the point of pulling them up and closing the snap to see if i could layer if need be. Fit just like expected (as described from previous reviews. Solid Buy so far. As I was rolling them up I noticed a few scraggly seams and some frayed areas. Quality went down a notch but held hopes do to the quality feel of material. Day two of hike go to put pants and use zipper for the first time. Issues. Zipper was already hung on fabric leaving the zipper space behind with three bent teeth. Thought quality control is really horrible with this company. broke out mini leather man. Fixed to the point that I can get them to catch 3 out of 5 times. I was going to count it as a decent purchase and have somebody replace the zipper. Was enjoying the pants other than these issues. Warmth was good boots stayed dry. Walked in no more then six inches of snow but experienced ice, snow, rain, mud, rock, and held up great. *REAL ISSUE* I found with this pair of pants I purchased is in fact they are a used pair of pants. As I Started Utilizing pockets, Left back to be exact, I found a washed piece of paper(used for kindling). Heard of prewashed items but not having a piece of paper. Quality control again I thought. NEVER thinking they sold me used pants. Then comes the tag from the right cargo pocket as you can see in the picture. I bought these at the last second before going on a spur of the moment snowboarding trip, and was very pleased with them. I just needed one more pair and wasn't expecting a whole lot. I wore these more than any of the others. They were warm, comfortable and stylish to boot. They were sized pretty big, but with the inner velcro system and my belt they worked just fine. These looked good and kept me relativly warm with thermals underneath; although not very dry after an hour or two on the mountain. Had to buy a size up after a medium did not fit past my thighs, im a stocky, built guy about 5’8” and 190lbs; 33 waist and the mediums were wayyy too smal. Large fot nicely but were long, somewhat counteracted by large snowboard boots. These did alright for the price but after rolling over a couple of times to position myself on the board, they formed a massive rip right up the crotch: needless to say it was a cold day on the mountain from that point on. Not very durable at all, you get what you pay for. Good low price snowpants for a pinch, but deffinitly not the best activewear. Wouldnt buy again unless they had a great deal suddenly. ... show more

Great pants! I'm 6'2" and 180lbs. I wear a 32/24 in men's pants. The medium fit me great. They are a relaxed fit when on but not too baggy. They have zipper on the bottom of the leg to open up to slide over boots. They also an elastic inner gaiter (to snug close to the boot) and a lace hook on each to attach to your boot laces to make sure they stay in place. Very happy with them so far and looking forward to giving them the durability test this season at 3 Southeastern resorts. They seem to be of quality workmanship so I have no doubt that they will hold up fine. --------------------- UPDATE 2/24/15: I have taken these on a couple trips to the mountains this winter and they held up great! Warm and durable. I also washed them and had no trouble at all. Very happy with the value of these pants! ... show more
