  • Best little cooler
Color: Blue Style: 55Q
The color is what caught my eye, I already knew Titan was a good brand, so I was not surprised at how well it did. I went camping for 6 days. I had milk, cheese, vegies, eggs, butter and a few other things and only 1 and a half bags of ice. I kid you not, that ice lasted 5 whole days and everything was still cold. Granted, we only got into the cooler as needed, shut it tight when done and I didn't have little kids opening it constantly to get whatever. After I cooked the first meal I put some cans of v8 juice in to get cold, there was plenty of room. I did buy 1 bag of ice on the 6th day for the ride home and to cover all the crab we got... so this cooler did better than expected. Now if this was out, unshaded, or in high heat temps, I might have had to get more Ice on day 4. But I left it in the back of my car which was shaded and it wasn't super hot, high 60's on the coast. Also this isn't big enough for a large family, unless you're using it for just certain things, but it held enough cold food for 2 people for 6 days, we did bring non perishables as well to eat. ... show more

  • Fabulous cooler!!
Color: Blue Style: 55Q
I just had to post a review on this cooler. I was a little skeptical for spending this much money on a cooler, especially reading some reviews that stated it didn't keep cold enough and ice melted. But I took the plunge, to try it anyway. We were heading out for a weekend camping trip, the day the cooler was delivered...literally opened box, packed cooler and loaded it about 20 minutes before we left. Although was a little bummed to find that there was no basket that was delivered with it, so I messaged the seller, a new basket was shipped and delivered in less than a week....fabulous customer service!! I watched the video included in post and made sure to have frozen water bottles to place in the bottom of the cooler when loading. We stopped on our way out of town to pick up some bags of ice to load into cooler, to fill in the gaps between food and drinks. Everything stayed iced and chilled the entire 4 day weekend. So much so, it even stayed ice cold when we got home and it took me a few days to finally unload the cooler....since it appeared to stay cold, I was in no rush to unload. I finally got around to unloading cooler today....everything was still EXTREMELY cold....some of the water bottles that I originally placed in it, still had ice in them. It was perfect to keep cooler chilled with the frozen bottles because even as some started to thaw on trip, we had ice cold water to be able to drink throughout the camping trip. So 7 days after loading and filling cooler, everything was still ice cold when finally emptied!! I have never had a cooler stay THAT chilled for more than a few days....and this one did for 7 days!! I totally credit it by the instructions in the video to place Frozen water bottles at the bottom. I truly didn't expect it to keep everything so cold for 7 days, since I didn't give the cooler time to pre-chill with the Frozen water bottles, before loading....but this cooler still completely exceeded my expectations!!!! Absolutely a fantastic cooler and product!! And the great customer service I received in getting a missing basket so quickly, even enhanced my experience that much more!! ... show more

  • Cheaper Yeti!
Color: Gray Style: 55Q
Just a good as Yeti! I used this for 2 months traveling on a cross country road trip in the bed of my Tacoma. I could keep meat, milk, drinks, butter, cheese, and produce cold for over a week on a $3 bag of gas station ice!

  • happy with my purchase
Color: Gray Style: 20Q
there are so many good and bad reviews on all these coolers and different brands. Ok This is just a FYI (when you get this cooler it is sealed with vacuum so don't try to pry the lid open simply just unscrew the drain valve and you will hear the pressure release) 1st Know the expectations of the cooler 2nd Have a realistic expectation 1st test I tested this one out right away after buying. With the cooler containing several drinks almost filling the bottom of the cooler and adding 1 small bag of ice. sitting inside my truck in the sun for 10 hrs. I came out and still had probably 2 handfuls of ice left not to bad in my opinion that was without seasoning it which is cooling the cooler down before hand. 2nd test. I had around 10 bottles in it and a small bag of ice left on my deck in the shade The ice lasted 2 days 3rd Test. I seasoned the cooler overnight then added 2 small bags of ice and a 12 pack to it. ice lasted 3 days. I suppose you could get 4 days out of it if you seasoned the cooler overnight and then filled the cooler with fresh ice completely. Overall I am most pleased with this cooler. Very sturdy ... show more

  • Great cooler
Color: Blue Style: 20Q
I spent a stupid amount of time choosing a cooler. I watched review after review and couldn't make a decision. I almost bit the bullet and bought a Yeti, but sense took over and I waited until Prime Day. While I was waiting, I filled in with a soft sided cooler from Titan. It worked well enough to last a two day, one night camping trip. So, I bought a hard sided from the same company. I was a bit wary when my cooler arrived in a cardboard box with no protection. Then I remembered that the cooler is certified bear-proof. It was perfectly fine. The cooler is very well made. It feels Yeti-like in terms of weight and construction. Of course, there are some compromises. The molding seams are not quite as smoothly finished, and the rubber closures don't click open and closed the way you get with a Yeti. But, other than that. I'm really glad I got what I needed for a third of the price. My only gripe -- the drain plug doesn't have a chain or strap to prevent it getting lost. And you know that is inevitable when you are in a hurry to pickup. Would buy again. ... show more

  • Excellent Value!
Color: Gray Style: 55Q
Lots of reviews stating that the cooler does not (perform) as stated…. and all I can say is that my 55qt performed flawlessly! Let me start by saying that everything is expensive these days, so when it comes to buying a $250 (cooler), we all are looking for it to do something that our currents one has failed us to do… and that’s keep your food and beverages cold. Sure YETI is a house hold name- they’ve spent millions to attain establish that position as the “posh” or “yuppy” quality cooler. Good for them. But damn, their expensive. But when it comes to the big price tag theses types of coolers ask… trust me in saying this, we’ve been already paying for this expensive style cooler through the cost of buying more ice than needed along with the added oss in spoiled food. So, I took this guy out for its maiden voyage. A weekend camping trip into the Adirondacks with my family. Short of the story… this cooler kept my food and drinks cold- just like pulling them from my refrigerator at home. How did it do it? All I did was watch their video on how to pack it. Just scroll back up to the photos in the product description and you’ll fine it there. Here’s how I do it… Thursday night: I froze 12 water bottles. Friday afternoon: received cooler. Friday afternoon I packed the cooler: i kept the video in mind as I packed it by laying the 12 water bottles across the bottom and pouring a 5lb bag of ice cubes over them. Than I placed my food and drinks over the ice and water bottles, and voila! Done!! Keep in mind that my food and drinks all came from my fridge out in the garage. Friday afternoon: headed out to the camp grounds. lol weekend long: there was opening and closing. Keep in mind that my family of six aren’t constantly opening and searching for food all the time (like they do at home). Sunday night: arrived home and unpacked the cooler- all the food was very cold (if not colder than) it would be in my house fridge. While unpacking I popped the top of one of my cans of beer, and it was nice and cold- just like I like it! Morale of the story… you get what you paid for, and I’m pleased with my purchase. ... show more

  • I cannot believe how well it's keeps ice!
Color: Blue Style: 55Q
The ice retention on this baby is insane. I didn't season it properly, only put a couple gel ice packs in the day before leaving on a camping trip, and threw the cooler in Mt car just like that. This was Thursday. Friday I was at work all day and the cooler sat in a pretty hot car the whole time. After work I made the drive to my camping spot about an hour or so away. Put up the tent, hung out for a bit, and then drove to get ice and food from the nearest store. My ice packs were still 90% frozen when we added the food, drinks, and a large bag of ice. Didn't add more ice until Monday morning and that was purely because most of the drinks and food were gone so there was more room. 70% of the ice was still there and it sat outside in direct sunlight (with the exception of nighttime) the whole time. Came home Monday afternoon and after emptying out food and beverages, I let the cooler sit in my garage with the lid open and the drain plug out so that it would melt and drain directly into the storm drain. Y'all... it is Wednesday night and I STILL have ice!!! What kind of witchcraft.... There is only one downside to this cooler and that is that when full, it is heavy as hell, and there's no wheels on it. Unless you're He-Man, you're not carrying this thing easily. But for the insane ice retention, it's 1000% worth it. ... show more

  • NOT BEAR RESISTANT! FALSE ADVERTISING! NOT BEAR RESISTANT! FALSE ADVERTISING!
Color: Gray Style: 55Q
This cooler was perfect for our 4 day trip deep in the Sierra. By day 3 it was still full of ice, & would have easily lasted a couple more days had it not been attacked by a black bear. This cooler is not at all bear resistant, & I find it irresponsible to advertise that it is. It was only a matter of minutes before the bear busted it open. We were 2 hours deep in the backcountry, & had this happened earlier in our trip we would have had to leave. The cooler survived the attack with only a few scratches & bite marks, so in that sense it is bear proof. It did not fit inside of the provided bear locker, which is the only reason we left it out in the first place. I am sad to be part of the problem in jeopardizing the lives of these animals, & Titan should do their part as well by not misleading consumers. Attached is a photo of the bite mark right through the handle. ... show more
