This kit is an upgrade for my welder. It replaces all components so that all threads match. The shroud just pushes on so it can be adjusted out a little farther. The trick to welding with a wire feed is to keep your tip one or two inches away from the arc, otherwise the wire will heat up into the tip and weld it to the tip. I use flux wire so I have no gas connected to my welder. ... show more

These Mig consumables are exactly what came on my Arccaptain Mig. These are excellent as is this company. A tip is that your gas shield will last even longer if you spray or dip (my preference) in an anti splatter compound. Make sure you match your wire size to the tip size and happy welding
