Let me start of by saying I’m pretty new to welding. I started out with a little 110v flux core welder. Not long after, I decided to upgrade to a 220v. The difference has been night and day. This welder is so easy to use, runs great beads, and doesn’t break the bank. I love the versatility of this machine. I probably will never use this machine to its full potential, but I like knowing that if I ever need it, it can handle it. No, it’s not a Miller, but I can’t afford that, and this welder seems very well built and does an absolutely amazing job at everything I’ve tried on it so far. Now I’ve just got to save up and pick up one of their plasma cutters!

Excellent welder that comes with a Tweco-1 MIG gun. I use it to weld mild steel channel up to 4” and use .040 flux-core wire and .035 dual-shield flux-core wire. My shop also has an ArcCaptain MIG 200, an ArcCaptain 200 Fit and now the ArcCaptain MIG 250 alongside an ArcCaptain plasma cutter over the last two years. Good stuff!

I haven’t used it a whole lot yet. However… what I have welded with it has been great! I used the 110v to try to stick weld and it blew my breaker… as to be expected but what I was able to do with it worked well. All of the MiG I have done with it has been more than exceptional so far. Great unit!

ARCCATAIN coming in clutch once again! Ordered it on Monday, had it delivered to my door by Thursday. It probably would have it on Wednesday, but I live in a rural part of Kansas. As far as the welder is concerned, easy set, got it dialed in for some thick material, and burned some very looking welds. I would say that this welder is a far better welder than the Snap-On MIG 250, that I once owned.
