  • Awesome! Fun for the family.
Style: Pinball II
The graphics on this are great! It operates and reacts like a real pinball machine. All ages love it. The step by step instructions were easy to follow for assembly. Every game is very different.

  • 1Up did a great job of making it feel like real pinball
Style: Pinball II
Update: Our machine developed the issue many report. It was actually just out of the manufacturers warranty but they state I am getting warranty customer pricing on the replacement part that is still in production? This is a known issue with several customers reporting the same issue. To be honest, they should supply the part for free as they make the end user do all the work whether you know what you are doing or not. I won’t be purchasing any additional arcade machines from one up. We treated the machine with the utmost care as we really enjoyed playing it. For it to fail for no apparent reason points to substandard parts that should have never been used. Basically I am sorry if my review put you in the same spot as the machine was wonderful when it worked. Others looking for a machine may want to consider the odds of it failing just out of warranty and steer clear. Old review starts below. This machine is absolutely stunning in appearance. The lighted marquee and scoreboard add realism to the overall look and feel of the machine. Assembly was not as horrid as I have seen reported. I did manage to somehow assemble the first two pieces incorrectly even though I was trying to be meticulous in the build. Overall, it took about an hour and a half to put everything together. All of the pieces fit really well. My only word of caution would be to leave the screws loose in the top assembly until you get the marquee in place. This applies to the step just prior to installing the marquee (piece I). It will go in much easier doing so. you can then tighten the screws. I also was very careful to stop on each fastener for the top portion as soon as they were tight. I did not want to over tighten any of the fasteners. I only noted one place on the machine where the graphics were "damaged" in boxing. It is a very small section on the back left of the machine. The decal was peeled up just a teeny bit from the edge. The leg will hold it from going further and is so minor it was barely worth mentioning. The one thing I am curious as to why they did not include software wise is a screen saver. I can only guess the manufacturer does not recommend the machine be on continuously. I have done some reading and have found that powering the machine on and off will not damage the electronic components (according to the research I have done). Honestly, this is a worry from my younger years when we were told that continuously turning items on and off not only wastes electricity, but could damage electronics. From what I read, that is no longer a concern with modern electronics. Game play is really good. The tables are varied and have a slew of specials you can unlock by doing certain combinations of ramps or targets. We have our favorites already, but will play most every table on a regular basis. It does appear the physics of the table seem to favor the player in some cases. This by no means makes the gameplay "easy". To give it a more real feel I have disabled the ball trails and limited the pop up scores (amounts of points showing all over the screen) as they can be a distraction when trying to track the ball when it is going sub warp speeds. Be cautious in a multiplayer game if your ball goes down the drain. Many of the games will continue the ball through various special features. My wife has stepped back for me to play and she had another ball that was released. We did not realize before the ball was out of play. The scoreboard on the upper portion really reminds me of the pinball machines I loved so much. The playing surface is actually larger than I imagined. I was quite happy about that. The flippers are responsive. The nudge feature does not seem to affect the balls behavior much even with the sensitivity turned up. We have only managed to "tilt" the machine once in all the play we have done. I get a little more "nudgie" when I play than my wife however she was the one that managed to register a "tilt". We are very pleased with our choice to get this machine, plus we got it for less than the original $750 price tag which in itself was a bonus. Now we just have to get our game corner in its final arrangement. The saddest part of all this is one of the other 1Up Arcade machines will need to be moved to a new location due to the sheer size of the pinball machine. We can live with that. The hard part is choosing which one and where it will be placed so it will not be far away from our mini arcade. ... show more

  • So many games! So many layers
Style: Pinball II
Love how intricate and original each pinball board is on this machine. Great sound effects and music, and the physical feedback the game provides for flipper presses and bumper hits is very realistic. I've been playing avidly for over 2 months and can still discover new secret missions or trigger new animations on the screen. With 10 different boards to play there is such variety that it really has held my interest. ... show more

  • Fun, but missing important features for price.
Style: Pinball II
Very cool product, but overpriced at MRSP. I scored a really great deal on it, so I personally can't complain, but will be writing my review based on a full price purchase. Pros: Great size, slightly smaller than full size, perfect for home office/game room Art looks great top score screen a really great fun feature volume is easily adjustable and you can really crank it up for a loud sound which is nice all buttons feel great and are high quality and responsive machine is well built and easy to put together Cons: tilt feature is poor and mostly useless 720p quality is not great, graphics are very jaggy for most tables and tables appear too small compared to screen size My machine came with a crackle in the speaker which is unfortunate, but not a big enough issue to deal with a return tables are a mixed bag, 50/50 on fun vs boring no online features no ability to add more tables. This is the biggest issue for me. JUST LET US BUY MORE TABLES WE WILL PAY MORE!! Overall: If you absolutely want an at home pinball experience this is definitely the best "budget" option, but I would say its still too expensive for what you get, find it for a few hundred less? Definitely grab it, its worth it, but not at MRSP. You will not play at a competitive level do to input delays and lack of tilt features, but otherwise, it is a really cool looking piece and fun for casual occasional play. ... show more

  • Great investment! My kids and I love this!
Style: Pinball II
Pretty simple to build. My 14 year old son and I built it together. I’ve loved Pinball since I was a child. This is a great alternative to a real pinball machine. I wasn’t sure if I’d like that the screen is electronic, however it adds a lot of different features and the characters to move which is awesome. We compete for first place on every map! ... show more

  • Doesn’t work
Style: Pinball II
This took awhile to assemble, then didn’t power on. I spent several days on the phone with customer service and nothing fixed the problem. Also, the device that was sent had obviously been opened previously and had all of the bolts and screws dumped into one bag with the smaller labeled bags ripped open and empty. I paid for a brand new machine and was sent a used one that doesn’t work. ... show more

  • Nice machine, reasonable price
Style: Pinball II
Wanted a mechanical pinball machine, but those are very expensive. This is a nice compromise. Needed something for the visiting nieces and nephews, and this fits the bill nicely. Not too hard to assemble, and features ten different games.
