Description

With a fresh, aggressive style, the Arai Regent-X features plush comfort, lighter-weight, and easy on-and-off wear. Like every Arai, the Regent-X uses a strong outer shell designed to glance off forces, while maintaining integrity, working with a softer one-piece, multi-density EPS inner liner to absorb and spread impact energy. It's designed around the Variable Axis System (VAS) for a smoother shape, plus reinforcing hyper ridge that lowers the center of gravity and flares out to 5mm to make putting it on or taking it off easier. Equipped with dual intake vents, brow vents and a 3-way chin vent plus five exhaust vents. The VAS-V MAX vision visor is Pinlock ready and uses an F1-derived latch system; the semi-removable interior features Facial Contour System (FCS) and speaker pockets. Optional Pro Shade System (PSS) is available. PB-cLc1 shell. Expanded hyper-ridge in the chin and chick area, by 5mm. Enlarged bottom opening for easier on/off without increasing helmet size. I started out my motorcycle career in a bell star, which I found uncomfortable on long rides based on my head shape, so when I got my first big kid bike I splurged for the Arai and never looked back. Arai is touted as being the premier helmet manufacturer where safety is concerned, and despite their generally less attractive shell designs and sometimes louder interiors, I have always recommended them to folks in the market for a helmet. Nothing compares to the fit & finish, and after a somewhat low speed high-side crash that sent me hurdling into the air and down onto the pavement head-first… I can attest that my Arai barley broke a sweat saving my life, or at least preventing serious bodily injury. If you value your life and continued use of your central nervous system, it is worth it to spend the money on an Arai. I went 8 years without ever being in a wreck, so I easily could have saved some money and gotten a cheaper/cooler-looking helmet, but I’m eternally grateful that I didn’t! Best of all, these helmets are MOM APPROVED :) happy riding! ... show more
