I bought this for a small light weight pontoon in May of this year. Everything worked great for the first couple months until the foot pedal and remote both quit working simultaneously. Waiting on a response from the manufacturer to see if they will make the necessary repairs. I will update this review based on their response. Overall great motor for the money while it worked.

This motor fill not fit the front transom plate of a pelican bass raider, too wide. Its seem nice enough, flaws include... extremely heavy, too short for even a small boat you'll need the black longer shift. This white transom mount is for kayaks but it's so heavy I would think it'd sink a kayak. I returned it.

Update 2023: This motor continues to meet my expectations of a solid motor. I run it all day on a lithium battery with no issues. Constant trolling, remote still works great. Been through multiple rain storms and has kept on trucking. Very happy with the purchase. I bought this to mount to the front of a decked out 14 foot boat using a procontroll ez mount. So far, I've fished 3 days with the motor, 8 hours per day, and it has been rock solid. I troll with this 100% of the time while I'm fishing for walleye. No on/off, literally running the whole time. Remote works well and holds a good charge, foot pedal works well. The entire unit held up to a solid rainstorm, so that is good as well, so far. One thing to note, if you mount it to the front of the boat, the foot pedal controls will be backwards, as the unit is meant for the transom. The remote can be clipped to the lanyard upside down to make the controls on it correct, though. I'll come back and modify my review if the unit craps out on me.

We can't make a wake on our private 100-acre lake so these bass boats with 225HP Mercury motors are a waste of 220HP. I decided to go all electric with three trolling motors on the stern. This motor is my main motor. There's nothing like steering my 17-foot bass boat at night with a remote. If the remote loses juice, then the foot pedal is activated (this happened once). I love the design, I love the engineering. Thinking about replacing my two 30-pound thrust motors with two more of these. I would love to be able to sync the three together with one remote.
