  • Tons of air bubbles
I have 2 of these in my koi pond (10,000 gallons) and it emits a huge amount oxygen bubbles!

  • If you don't use these with an Aquascape Air Pump, forget any support.
I am powering two of these with a VIVOSUN 317GPH Air Pump 15W and there is no visible air coming from the membrane, it's all leaking out the cover on the end of the Aerator. Although the air pump appears to have slightly more output than the much more expensive Aquascape air pump. Aquascape sent me two warranty replacements but the problem still exists so that's not the solution. If it's not ALL their equiptment, good luck using these or getting support. ... show more

  • Test it before you throw it in your pond
I tested it in my sink and found most of the air leaking from the seams on each end. I sealed the ends with glue to force the bubbles out of the holes they are supposed to come out of which greatly increased the pressure required to run it. Now the bubbles are much finer even though there are less overall compared to with it leaking. For this unit to expand as they state and take full use of all the holes would take a very large air pump with at least a few psi present at the bottom of the pond. For every 2 feet of depth you need 1 psi to get the air that low. So for a 10 foot depth pond you need 5 psi just to get the air down there PLUS a few extra PSI to inflate the diffuser which equals a whopping 13 psi. ... show more

  • Big difference in fish
I've had a pond for several years, and for aeration i always had a really big waterfall. I had a lot of problems with algae and learned that my 2200 gallon pond was not getting enough oxygen. Not only did this help with unsightly algae, but it also helped in overall pond life for the fish. They seem happier as they swim up to the surface now, and pretty much only saw them come up before when i fed them. I would recommend. ... show more
